its totally clear the punch bothered Solis..... Look at Solis left (good) leg... it kicks out after the punch... your right it wasnt a "KO" punch. but it got his equilibrium and thats what caused his to fall back and twist that knee

IMO he would have been on come round 2 had the knee not blown up.... but that punch did hurt him

again... left "good" leg is the key

Solis didn't even really earn the first match up, to think he's earned a rematch after a TKO loss is bull****. Maybe if he beats about three top contenders he can get a rematch, until then he needs to shut up and wait his turn.

The punch that hit Liston also wouldn't have KOd a 6 y/o kid?
Or the punch Ottke landed on Mundine?
Or the punch Sanders landed on Vitali?
Or the grazing shot Fury landed on Nascimento?

    You're clueless.

Solis has ****ed up his title chances. Too bad really. I fought he would prove to be a hard obstacle for Vitali. I'm still perplexed about his punch resistance, because he's never shown to have such issues before. He did beat the count, but the leg injury was too severe for him to continue...

Solis is a fat, ill prepared idiot who didn't do his homework and now cries foul and demands another chance.

Here's the lesson: you never get a second chance to make a first impression.

It was a freak end to what should have been a good fight...IF he can get his knee back to health, I would like to see it...

After Ademek or Haye, there just aren't many interesting fights for Vitali...

But, I don't know how much the knee was 'freak' or how much of it was lack of training...If it truly was the latter, then no...

After Ademek and/or Haye, who do you think would be more entertaining than Solis, assuming he's healthy?

Yes, given the lack of good opposition left for VItali after he takes Adamek, odd thing is even an undeserving, overweight, already KOed Solis still looks fairly appealing compared to what else is out there that he hasn't already beaten.

Hmmm I'm defo not buying that glancing shot really hurt him. I dont buy the TKO either. His head was clear and had it not been for his knee injury he'd have been up to carry on. Still I dont see a rematch. Nobody apart from Solis actually wants it. The fans wont want to buy that fight. Solis didnt even deserve a shot in the first place. Go lose some weight n get a couple of wins vs top 10 ranked fighters then he can talk about being worthy of a rematch or another shot at a title.

For the record Lennox Lewis's guess that maybe this was an injury he'd been carrying for some time and had resurfaced in the fight is very plausible.
