He also lost to James Warring, who ironically also went on to be a boxer, and lost to William Van Roosmalen, father of the upcoming 70 kg fighter Robin Van Roosmalen. Apparently when he lost to Roosmalen he was way ahead on points, had broken Roosmalen's ribs and already dropped him, but Roosmalen managed to get a headkick KO. There is footage of Vitali losing to Warring on dailymotion iirc. Also Vitali stopped competing in kickboxing before K-1 came around, and prior to then there really was no true "world" champion in kickboxer, for what its worth.
