Vitali Klitschko in the UFC.

Vitali was originally a kickboxer before he took up boxing. If he had decided to stick to kickboxing and learned some grappling, how would he have done in the UFC?

 

Very well imo. His size, athleticism and power alone would've made him a big threat.

 

Imagine Struve with an iron chin and better distance control..... Vitali would be a monster with Struve's ground skills.

 

He would do better than Wlad... Lesnar would beat him though

 

Tell that to Overeem. A kickboxer could be an efficient grappler to sprawl. And Vitali is a fast hw with size. He would make lesnar look like a chump.

 

Overeem knows how to grapple, Vitali doesnt. BUT Vitali does have a kickboxing background, and if Cro Cop and Liddell could be elite MMA strikers than I dont see why Vitali couldnt, BUT lets remember not every striker will have the same success as Cro Cop.

 

Overeem was juiced to the gills in that fight and Lesnar almost died few months before the fight

 

Prime Vitali would easily be the champion imo. C'mon completely washed up old guys like Arlovski and journeymen/bums like Roy Nelson are considered top 10 mma heavyweights. It's a joke.
