lennox lewis was the last great heavyweight that can be considered as ATG.

Lewis was also considered boring in his active time. But yes, he has some better wins than Vitali.

I bet you hope he had fought Vitali instead, after Haye drops "poisoned" Wlad in canvas.

    "SOME better wins"????

    Vitali has an appauling resume.

Of course, its not his fault he has reigned in a really bad heavyweight era but it's not gonna put him up with the greats is it?

    Unfortunate.

I'll be really disappointed if Vitali retires without fighting Haye and Valuev.
They are two decent names and Klitschko hasnt fought many of those.

Haye gets a lot of **** for pulling out of the Klitschko fights but Vitali can get both Haye and Valuev in the ring if they're offered decent contracts and decent money.

Vitali needs Haye as much as Haye needs him. Otherwise he may retire from boxing this year having never won a decent challenge and lost to the fighters that gave him one.

yes, he's boring too but compare to who? compare to prime tyson or holyfield lewis fighting style is not as exciting to watch but he scored some powerfull & memorable knock out and that's an important thing to be considered as ATG
and although he had some KO losses and trouble with some figthers, the quality of his opponent is way better than vitali. Man, he even gave Vitali big trouble when he's 39.

I don't think Haye is gonna fight Vitali now he knows he's gonna retire soon... for once I agree with him if he opts NOT to fight him.
He has more to lose than to gain from the fight in this case, and for Haye VK is the most dangerous brother of the 2.
I think he will defend his WBA strap once more after Ruiz against some twat or a rematch with Valuev and then go for the younger brother, against who I give him a decent (about 30%) chance of winning.

I think Haye stands a good chance of beating Vitali but he wont get much credit for doing it. People will just say VK was over the hill.

Also id be suprised if a Valuev rematch materialises. Which TV company is gonna pay out for a repeat of that?!

I reckon it'll be Haye vs Vitali after the Ruiz fight.

I dont know why i m starting this again but thats something that confuses me

Lewis could get no love from most US fans , and Wlad who fights in almost the exact same way is utterly adored by some of my american cousins on here.

So I have to ask myself in waht ways are Lennox and Wladimir different.

Both very cautious , stand up , tall fighters

    Both Intilligent , thoughtful characters.

    Both fighting out of Europe.

    Both trained by Steward

In fact the only really significant difference i can see is, Ones white the other wasnt.

I wonder if Farmboxer , and Widowmaker etc were all huge Lewis fans ??

    I doubt it somehow !

A fight with Haye will not bring Vitali any problems healthwise. :D

He might trip over him when he tries to leave the ring... and with Vitali's knee problems that could mean trouble! :D

Your not from america so you have no clue how much flack they get over here its no different then lewis pre holyfield after he is actually treated better, Also Widowmaker is a huge Lewis fan maybe you read some more of his posts before resorting to somethin as petty as isinuating racism on someone you have never met shows your frame of mind, of course Mickey blue balls is just as bad at that so maybe its a cultural thing, I hope not.... quite a few of the people over here in the states who like the Klitschko's like lewis, and some who dont like the Klitschko's like lewis and vice versa, Dont go play the racism card that goes both ways there are ignorant white people who only root for fighters who are white, But there are also latino and black fans who root the same way. :deal

I believe that they will carry out Haye on stretcher before Vitali will have to leave the ring. :D

Haye has a punchers chance at one of the klitschkos and thats it imo, but he has proved he has some dig on him and he is also very confident. I think he should give Vitali a go in 2010, that would be a very big fight
