It's a very tough call and a fight that goes the distance w two iron chins .. Both very smart fighters as well .. it's a coin toss but I may just go w Vital even thought I keep changing my mind ,,

Agree, very tough fight to rate.

But can someone imagine the Vitali who fought Byrd winning against the "sharp as razor blade" Holyfield who dismantled Douglas? I just don´t get this out of my head. Holyfield looked just so much better in quickness and boxing finesse. I don´t think anyone here hurts the other fighter too bad. The had nearly same reach, but Vit was alot taller. Beside this disadvantage, I see the Real Deal winning more rounds.

Can someone imagine the Holyfield who fought Ruiz (by the way was he less impressive himself against an older Byrd) winning against the determined Klitschko who destroyed Johnson and Sanders...?:rolleye:

Vitali is very slow and robotic compared to Holyfield.

There was no standing 8 count in that fight. Cooper should have been allowed to go on. I think he'd have stopped Holyfield.

You put words in my mouth by claiming I said Holyfield was 3-0 against Bowe. I initially gave you the benefit of the doubt and assumed you may have misread my post but it turned out you misquoted me on purpose.
This is why McVey hated your guts and why other posters won't even engage with you. You are a toxic little weasel who brings out the worst in people.

We get it , you hate Holyfield. You hate Jack Johnson, Mike Tyson etc etc

What i post about Klitschko's is mostly the truth. By claiming Vitali hasn't a top 20 win over the past 20 years is a reality that seems to have angered you immensely , hence your unmanly ad hommien attack.

Vitali dropped only a handful of rounds in his entire career as opposed to Holyfield dropping tons.

Vitali should win this one easy with the jab and the straight right. How is Holy gonna head butt him?

I feel your pain. I don't know where to put myself on this one.

Here's why I pick Vitali: I think that the "default" for the fight would be in favour of Vitali. What I mean by that is he probably will have some additional range to work with and is difficult to predict punch-by-punch. You know what he's going to throw, but he doesn't throw them in the normal way. Those are small-gains advantages that I think would set him up in the box seat.

Measured against that is Holyfield's energy and determination. There's no question he would win passages and rounds. But I think that the quieter moments will mostly be won by Vitali and I think that will just see him edge in front on 51% of cards.

So I see a very close decision, and probably an "either way" type fight, but if they fought a hundred times i'd favour Vitali to come out on top.

On the night almost any close cards could fairly be produced though, I think.

I'll issue @Mendoza a public apology if he pulls the post where I said Holyfield went 3-0 with Bowe.
