Vitali Klitschko has entered the Olimpiyskiy arena.

 

Round 2

Arsaev is again setting up with his right jab and then throwing long, fast, light combos up and down the length of Khatsyhau. Uppercuts to the body by Arsaev, throwing his full weight into them and coming up off his feet, denting Khatsyhau's sides. A few right upper-hooks by Khatsyhau to try and back Arsaev off, but he then covers back up and leans head to head as Arsaev lets his faster and busier hands slice away at his ribs. Arsaev is all over him, his fists a blur, hitting glove with the majority of his shots but keeping Khatsyhau shelled up and inert.

Round 3

Arsaev nimbly dances around Khatsyhau, lighting him up as usual. Khatsyhau gets annoyed and tries to walk Arsaev into the ropes, leaving himself open - countered, KNOCKED DOWN! Tumbling back head over heels. It was more that he was out of position than badly jarred by the shot, but the crowd loves it. Arsaev comes at him with quick uppercuts to the face while swerving side to side. Arsaev keeps his guard tight and pecks away, up close, giving Khatsyhau no quarter. Right hand, left hook, right uppercut to the body by Arsaev. Very fast, but no power. Khatsyhau wraps him up in a clinch around the waist. The ref orders a break. Khatsyhau starts to slap out with right hooks, trying to catch Arsaev in an exchange. He isn't able to. Arsaev is too fleet, and is ducking in and countering with rapid pop-offs to the body.

I am digging Ayup's work; always have a soft spot for guys who can't crack an egg but find a way to make do anyway.

He's sort of like a Russkie version of the Baby Bull. :yep (as opposed to more a Malignaggi type)

He uses the swarming approach to compensate for his weakness, rather than trying for slickness.

 

Round 4

Arsaev is whipping his left hand around and scoring to the head, then ducking in against Khatsyhau. His output is petering a bit, as is his hand speed. This might be a "breather" round, or else he's already huffed himself out. He is still doing the better work but Khatsyhau is growing more confident in placing his right jab and looking for left crosses. Arsaev ducks past the straight shots and wings in whacks to the body that are half speed for him but still finding the mark faster than Khatsyhau.
