2x stronger than Walcott? Cant believe nobody else is saying anything Have you seen Walcott hit the bag, and Klitschko? Here, you can compare side to side [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQP7YaU5nzk&feature=related[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHxXLKLelOQ[/ame] 7:00 minute mark for the Vitali video
yeah, but to be fair that video isn't of vitali exactly throwing bombs.those shots are quickfire at about 30% power.i agree, however, that he isn't twice as strong as walcott!
Hmmmm....feather fisted Byrd was stalking VITLAY at the end of their fight and made him quit like a fanny, yet people think Marciano couldn't make a dent :huh Same scenario here I think. VITLAY would probably get ahead on the cards but wouldn't be able to handle the fact that rock was still there, still walking forward, making him miss and hurting him every time he landed. The quittage would come around the 8th this time due to Marciano hitting a damn sight harder than Byrd did. WALDO would try to get revenge a few months later and would lose too, then blame the mafia. There would be no rematch, Rock would retire and then face tons of abuse from Klit-ites once he was safely out of the way of their heroes.
Can't belive that Rocky tires Vit on clinches. Klitschko is a stronger man than Louis, Walcott and Charles Marciano got battered and bloodied, floored by lesser HW punchers than Klitschko. Rocky would look much worse than against Walcott and Charles after middle rounds Byrd wasn't doing bad against Klitschko but comparing Rocky's style and Byrd is like heaven and hell. Marciano goes forward and takes a lot. Remember Foreman-Frazier/Norton? Rocky wouldn't be easy to hit. He would be compact and Vitaly misses a lot but when he lands he hurts Marciano bad Klitschko has reach advantage and jab to prevent from Marciano's right lead and keep him outside I see brave outcome by Rocky Marciano but he is stopped around 10th
Rocky faced the likes of Joe Louis, Jersey Joe Walcott, Ezzard Charles, Archie Moore etc. And beat them. No contest.
Assessing one fighter on his worst performance, and one sabotaged by injury, is typical Classic Forum protocol. Ignoring the fact that before said injury he was ahead by 6 points on the cards also follows form. Further ignoring that in an age of superheavyweights, not old lightheavies masquerading as heavies, this man has won virtually every round of every fight he has been in, well, why be inconsistent in your analysis?
Some old farts out here really need to ease up on that grip of Marciano's nutsack.... Marciano was great, but his prime was in a perferct era for him, as well.... No way the V.K. of 2004 to 2010 loses to Marciano of 1951 to 1955 in a time machine..... NOPE! MR.BILL
Hesitant to back Marciano because of the lack of big men on his resume and the size difference. Hesitant to back Vitali Klitschko because he's Vitali Klitschko.
Some romantic rose tinted glasses here, I'd love to see Rocky win but Vitali would keep him on the end of a constant 1-2, treat him like a rag doll in clinches, take his shots and beat him down for a late stoppage.
Clinching with Marciano sounds like a horrible idea. I think it's probably best to stay away from that body attack at any cost.
