Again, I rank V.K. in at # 7 on my ATG heavyweight champ lists.... Louis is in at # 4 Marciano has a three-way tie with "Liston and Frazier" in at # 10... MR.BILL
I cannot think of 10 dude's from 1887 to 2010 who can beat him in a time machine... V.K. handles my # 8 thru 10 dude's in my book... 8. Holy 9. Tyson 10. Liston, Marciano & Frazier (Tied) MR.BILLthumbsup
Louis' delivery system was completely different than Marciano's and his hands/combinations were alot faster and more precise. Not to forget also that Louis had perhaps the most debilitating jab in HW history. One weapon that Marciano was lacking due to his incredibily short reach. Joe could work his way inside behind it to set up his powerful combinations. No comparison in method of approach and delivery between Louis and Marciano. Joe would be better equipped to deal with the likes of a Vitaly than Marciano even though Vitaly would be a step up from someone like Carnera. I'm not saying that Rocky couldn't knock out Vitaly. He probably has the power but I question how he best employs that power being so much shorter with a much shorter reach against a big man with relatively good skills and a good jab. It's definitely an uphill battle for Rocky. VK isn't a great fighter but he is a good fighter and a big sonufabitch to boot and that counts for something.
Are you kidding? Holy and Tyson would literally eat him up in their primes, and having Marciano at number 10 is ****ing unbelievable. Liston and Frazier don't deserve the disrespect of being mentioned in the same breath as VITLAY either, both of them have far better wins on their record than VITLAY has. I'd literally give my life's savings to see VITLAY in the ring with prime Tyson or Holy, I really would. It'd be ****ing hilarious.
Folks, I heard all this **** before through KO mag and World Boxing mag back in the early 80s about my man Lawrence Holmes.... Critics rode Holmes' ass like a pair of Pampers... But, I knew all along he was a bad-ass mo-fo.... WORD! MR.BILL
