Briggs wont be able to last 3-4 rounds IMO...With his Asthma and his age, this is not a good idea to fight Vitali.

I see Vitali KO him in 4 rounds tops.

what do you want.. a ****ing contract that says "they are not fighting:roll:

I have always said "take the info for what it is"

I run training camp for both guys. I know who they are going to fight well before it is ever announced as i help contact sparing partners and get camp set-up

as of now. I was told "NO"

I'd love to see Vitali pot shot Briggs for 8 or 9 rounds before Briggs' corner stopps it.

Overall I don't like this fight.

I am a fan of the Klit brothers. But FFS, Vitali just beat Sosnowski - he doesn't really need to beat up on another fighter who is so far below him.
Yes, I know Vitali is having trouble getting credible opponents to actually fight him. Haye is too scared, Adamek says he is not ready.
Yes I know that Briggs has some name recognition, and the US networks may actually be interested.

But the fact is that Briggs is just not worthy of being in the same stadium, let alone the same ring as Vitali - not this horrible shot version of Briggs that has been a joke for years now.

On the other hand I will enjoy this fight on one level - watching that loudmouth getting the living **** stomped out of him will be kinda satisfying.

Still, Vitali has said he is going to retire. Would that make this his last fight? Even if it isn't, then he may only have two more fights left.... why waste one of them on the clown that is called Briggs?

    They are talking to briggs:roll:

I would love to see Adamek. I was shocked when wlad says yes there are talking to briggs, but I see why.. Briggs is #8 or 9 WBC. I think they are going right down the line and take the highest ranked fighter

I hope for Vitali its valuev. Vitali really wants that fight

So do I. But you know, if Valuev won't fight, and Vitali wants to keep fighting, there's not a lot of options. It's a very short list of fighters who haven't already lost to a Klitschko, are available to fight, and of course are willing to get in the ring. Briggs is on that very short list.

ok thx! if it is briggs i am not against it totally! but i dont know where briggs stands right now... what has he left?
he has fought bums and is ranked suddenly at number 9 by the wbc.
Adamek is the fight for wlad in the near future in my opinion! That would be a good fight!
Valuev would be the best option cause perhaps its the last fight from vitali and that fight would be remembered for many years ...

But vitali would get the most repect from me if he beats odlanier solis in his older days now cause i got to be honest vitali age is starting to show more and more! hes still the best out there in this division even now but he isnt unbeatable! Solis even im not a fan of his but if he comes in shape! i can see a bad night for vitali!

I agree. I really dont like the briggs fight. Its a lose lose for vitali. Lose to brigs and OMG.. **** hits the fan... beat briggs and get NO credit.

Lets hope between valuev, solis, and Adamek..someone steps up

But Briggs is a big intimidating fighter with vicious power and a known name.

Solis is a pudgey fighter who noone is aware of. LOL

That said, I think Vitali must be looking more for the crowd appeal aspect of it, in considering Briggs.

But then again, we don't know if Solis has already been offered the fight, and refused, or what. It does sound as if Valuev has refused what they were offering, once again, though.

As has been said, there are very, very few fighters left that have not already had their asses handed to them but a K brother. And if they haven't, they don't seem to want to fight.

Briggs is not a bad choice, if that is what it comes to. I think it'll sell pretty well, and hopefully, will then lead to Valuev or Haye, next..........cause there ain't noon else left.

No way in hell is Vitali gonna fight Briggs. I would be shocked if he did face him. Briggs is way more dangerous than Haye at this point.
