Europeans dont pay single penny to see this fight , its free on Rtl for everybody who can catch hotbird on his aerial. And Tickets are very cheap i suppose. Also its not like Klitchko's are mayweather like , we know they want to fight the best, if u want to bash some german champ who keep participating in safe fights, go on somebody like sylvester and the like

Good point. Every champion fights the occasional easy contender. Larry Holmes fought some scrawny tomato can named Scott Frank after he beat up Cooney and a major t.v. network actually covered it. It was common knowledge back in the day that the heavyweight champion was entitled to an easy fight from time to time as at the heavy division one punch can end the contest. Anything can happen in a heavyweight fight.

If Vitali's really retiring at the end of this year, this could be his second-to-last fight. Who doesn't want to see him easily KO the Pole? One for the highlight reel and anything to get that Safety Pin fight out of our minds. I wish this fight was on US TV without PPV.

Negative......... V.K. has done all that's been asked of him considering the state of the division....... V.K. is a proven bad-ass...... Anyway, he is now eyeing retirement....... If I managed V.K., I'd advise him to go out on top by the yrs end........ The guy is a class act........

That depends on what event is held and how the arena is set up. The opening match of the Ice Hockey World Championships between Germany and the US was held today in that arena and it drew a world record crowd for a hockey match of 77.800. That said, if they get over 50.000 with an opponent like Sosnowksi it's an immense accomplishment because that fight is living on Vitali's name alone. If a fight with Sosnowski was held in Germany against a random opponent he would get a few hundred spectators, mostly Polish expatriates.

Yes, the fact that Sosnowski will represent no more than a showcase for Vitali's dominance, and the fight still selling this well.......... that's an illustration of Vitali's drawing power.

And you can't criticize Vitali for taking on someone like Sosnowski, as without Haye, there IS noone else available that is worth a ****. Valuev refused the fight, let's remember.

Nothing wrong with Vitali taking on an unknown contender with a good record, especially considering that every one of his comeback fights thus far have been against either mandatories, or very top contenders, and noone else wants a piece of him............and for good reason.

Exactly. Even Ali was forced to fight an occassional Albert Sosnowski. More than once, in fact.

Wladimir had 61.000 for his fight against Chagaev at Veltins Arena!

And Vitali said in german TV he wants to break his brothers record and he said something about 71.000.

Wladimir is the star in germany his fights sells much better than Vitalis.

Both can draw the same numbers, there is nothing between them. Wlad's ( probably) higher number had to do with his opponent who help to sell some more ticket, originally Haye and than on short notice Chagaev, who is well known in Germany. If Vitali had an opponent of that calibre he would easily reach those numbers too. Originally they booked that arena for the Valuev fight and no doubt a fight against Valuev would have bested Wlad's record. Wlad's fight against Chambers, who is not a total unknown in Germany due to his fights with Povetkin and Dimintrenko sold 50.000 tickets. That's why I said it's pretty impressive if Vitali can get 50.000 against Sosnowski on his name alone.
