He said one thing that might be insightful.

He said "at this point I was fighting because other people were telling me that I should fight on".

In truth I don't think that he ever wanted the Klitschko fight in the first place, and he only fought on after the Tyson fight, because he thought that there was no effective opposition.

If he was having trouble motivating himself, then he was definitely better off calling it a day, and I would have told him as much.

I dont see any questions from you, just nonsensical rambling with a question mark at the end of it. Your posts are a waste of time, you been here for years and you still havent learned to write reasonably legible posts.

Im convinced you write the most confusing garbage you can think of on purpose just for the sake of circular arguing.

To paraphrase Robin Williams, there's no one on this forum more in need of a blow job than Herol. He rabbits on and on, spewing out great gobs of nothingness.

I imagine him posting surreptitiously after the lights-out call, from some sort of facility like what we saw in ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOOS NEST.

If you try to understand this fool, it'll make your head hurt.

MAJR says: Vitali and Lewis took the fight on less than two weeks notice when Lewis's scheduled opponent pulled out injured.

Lewis was scheduled to fight one time John Ruiz victim Kirk Johnson while Vitali was scheduled to fight then undefeated prospect Cedric Boswell on the same card.

Both had full camps for the same date for fights against vastly inferior opposition. Vitali had no less time to prepare to fight Lewis in 2003 than Lewis had.

Yet Lewis landed with more accuracy than Vitali. According to Compubox, Lewis landed 43% of his jabs compared to Vitali's 32%, 49% of power punches compared to Vitali's 41%, and 46% of total punches thrown compared to Vitali's 36%. Even if Vitali was hard to hit there is no getting away from the fact that Lewis was clearly the more accurate puncher and had more success on the night.

MAJR says: Lewis had no motivation after he beat Tyson and was only after easy paydays before he retired. He should never have hung around and I do criticise him for it.

Lewis retired before Vitali fought Sanders because Vitali's fight against Sanders was for the belt Lewis vacated.

MAJR says: Saying TKO6 is worse than KO2 or KO5 is a sure fire way to make Vitali look bad.

I have 3 young kids now so I don't get to box much anymore. But, I have trained with him at his gym many times. James is very down to earth. A really good guy.
