    Where is the hate? I saw the fight and Lewis won on cuts. The cuts where the result of Lewis punches, just simple. Lewis is a much better technican boxer than Vitali. And Lewis did better in his rematches. This has nothing to do with hate.

    But you are right IMO Wlad is the more likable brother. I do not prefer Vitalis behavior after the Lewis fight and after Wlad´s lost to Sanders.

    Sanders won fair against Wlad and Lewis won fair against Vitali. Just simple.

    But Wladimir make mistakes against Sanders so he would have won a reamtch. Wlad improved his defense, footwork, ringgenrealship.

    Vitali does not make mistakes against Lewis, Vitali has problems with Timo Hoffman, because of the size. Lewis has the size and the ability to win against Vitali, Lewis won the first fight and he would do is again.

    Both fighters would come into the ring much better prepared physically and mentally I think. And that's when Lewis's boxing skills would have the upper hand imo. Lewis by decision.

    Okay now you've annoyed me.

    It's not logic, it's called boxing and knowing just a little bit about it.

    Do you know and watch boxing or do you not? have you never heard of scar tissue? Do you have any idea what it is and how it can open up?

    Since the obvious answer to this is no, here is a brief article I found posted by a doctor.

    ======================================================================================

    Scar tissue formation is the body's normal response to injury (cuts). Some people heal with more scar tissue than others (scar formers). The "healed" skin overlying scar tends to be thinner and more fragile than normal skin. Also the mere fact of having a lump of dense/hard scar tissue under that thin, fragile skin allows for the area to be opened up easier with the next violent blow. With each subsequent injury to the area, the problem may grow worse. In certain situations, a plastic surgeon may remove this dense build up of scar tissue and file down protruding bone in hopes of lessening the problem.

    ========================================================================================

    Here's another question for you;

    do you think all those cuts Vitali suffered, which were at least 4, where all just lucky grazing shots or do you think that Lewis hit Vitali in a particular manner that caused his skin to cut? My guess is that it was certainly the latter for whatever reason.

    Dont know why were talking about this????

    Because Lewis retired his ***** ass at the ripe old age of 37....

    He knew what was in store for his Canadian china glass chin.

    Under that logic that would mean Frazier, Marciano, Ali, Louis, Tyson, and a whole bunch of ***** asses retired way too young. Cause none of them were fighting someone like a prime Viitali at that age, I can tell you that.

    But as to who would win the rematch it's a pretty tough call. Lewis certainly looked older and slower in that fight than any others I've seen him in, yet in the rematch against Rahman, he showed he can raise his game when he wants to so it's a hard call.

    But given that they already fought and Vitali had his shot, I don't know why we're talking about it either. He had at least 2 rounds to get him out of there and he failed.

    Do you think Lewis would of retired if he was 5 years younger??

    It was a hell of a fight and I believe it was Lewis's last hurrah and s great acheivement to find a way to win against an opponent the calibre of Vitali Klitschko.
    I can't understand why either fighter is critisized for such a great fight - Lewis retired at the right time..Good on him. I hope Vlad and Vitali do, I dont want to see them trying to relive past glories whilst being a shadow of their former selves [see E Holyfield]

    I think Vitali would have won the rematch, not because he is better than Lewis, but because Lewis was old and new it was too difficult to compete at the very top level - But too say Vitali retiring him is just twisting the facts and being mean spirited - When a boxer decides to retire, it is a decision that should be given the upmost respect, It is them climbing into the ring and risking serious injury or worse.
    I remeber fans booing because Michael watson was not allowed to continue against Eubank, easy to boo then walk home, but Watson has to live with his disability and even 10 seconds more in the fight and he wouldnt even be here!

    I wish every so called boxing fan would actually meet one of these boxers who gave up their health for the love of the sport (and to make money, who's kidding who), just so they could grow up a little and realize boxers have lives after they leave the sport. They are fathers, husbands and sons. So the right to retire with their health and mental faculties in order is an important decision and shouldn't be mocked by internet idiots who pass themseves off as boxing fans, but are often just fans of a particular fighter. for example it's quite conceivable that had the lewis-vitali fight been allowed to continue, Vitali could have suffered permanent eye damage, yet I've read posts where some of his fans actually seem to believe that Lewis had some kind of influence on the doctors decision.

    I don't have a particular problem with Lewis retiring. I have a problem with twisting the facts. Lewis retired because he could no longer cut it in the division. The fight with Vitali has shown as much. At the same time you see posters here arguing that he had nothing to prove and retired on his own accord and would have won the rematch on top of that. If he had a chance in the rematch or if he had a way to duck Vitali without losing the belt he would have continued fighting.

    What the hell are you basing this on? Wishful thinking? Lewis had talked about retiring prior to the Tyson fight. He was obviously getting older and didn't have anything else to prove. He beat Holyfield twice, Tyson convincingly, won both his rematch losses and took on the best of the new crop. Why would he have continued and what would a rematch have proved? If Lewis had won it would have ment next to nothing because he already won once before and if he lost Vitali would have beaten an even older version of the Lewis he lost to. It wasn't a very important fight from Lewis' perspective.

    Do you have any record of that?

    Because:

    "Question: Are you looking to fight twice this year?
    Lewis: That is fair to say."
    http://www.boxinginsider.com/interviews/interview-with-lennox-lewis/

    and that (skip to 6:20): "...and we can have another fight after that"

    I am going to ask you again my simple friend.
    How many fights LL won by cuts?
    How many times had Vitaly suffered cuts?
    How many times Vitaly lost on cuts?

    There are two radical opinions on that Vitali retired Lewis and one that Lewis would have found his youth again and destroyed Vitali.
    Neither is correct...Lewis's time was up, if he was afraid of Vitali, he could of dropped the belt and still found other million dollar plus fights out there - Many boxers have done worse things,,,,I dont want to see the Klitschkos pressured into damaging their health when their abilities have eroded and some dangerous young boxer is about - No doubt if aged Klitschkos lose to prime new fighters there will be posters relishing it and claiming they were in their peak.

    He beat the No 2 in the division to a bloody pulp, and Wlad had been demolished by Sanders only months earlier. Lennox was still the man in the division when he retired, but he figured it was getting harder and harder to defend that status, something he had earned over a 20+ years, 100+ fight career including the amateurs, since his teens. Your logic is plain ******ed, if beating the No 2 in the division to a pulp means you can't cut it, what exactly does it take to 'cut' it inb your estimation?
