No common opponent of OLD Foreman and Lewis ever said Lewis hit harder. Not 1. However, all Common opponents of young Foreman and Liston said Liston hit harder.
curiously forman was green against all them and still stopped them faster than liston and his % ko is much better than liston's despite he fought in his 40s and fought better men . curiously lol
Curiously, Willie Pastrano and Mauro Mina both stopped Gregorio Peralta. Something Foreman wasn't able to do. Curiously lol.
Then there is no argument that he'd outright duck anybody. He fought Lennox on less than a month's notice. He fought and beat a prime world title holder after being retired for four years with no prior tuneup - something that's never been done before or at least at heavyweight. He tried to get rematches with his only two conquerors.. He fought and beat a guy who had just destroyed his brother who many felt was the better of the two of them. Man like that deserves the benefit of the doubt.
Not by his own making though. Most of the more worthy challengers wanted nothing to do with him and pursued his brother who was of higher value and perceived by many of them as being slightly less risky, I.e. David haye being one example of such opponent.
styles make fights... Frazier dropped ali and did hurt him more than george.despite foreman hits harder. However what is your excuse for the much better %ko of foreman overall? I am curious lol
You realize you just degraded your argument as well? 60s Ali had 22 KOs out of 28 fights. That's a 78.6% KO rate . That's higher than that of Joe Frazier, Lennox Lewis, Rid**** Bowe, and even Mike Tyson! Did he hit harder than them as well?
Then they were either talking **** or you are mistaken. Up until the Jimmy Young fight young Foreman had 46 fights winning 41 of them by stoppage in a total of 113 rounds. Liston's whole career only produced 39 stoppages, and it took him a lot more rounds than 113 to get them. So how the hell did Liston hit harder than the " young " version of Foreman? How about naming all these common opponents of young Foreman and Liston and comparing how long ALL of them lasted against each man.
Pre exile Ali had a higher KO percentage than Lewis, Bowe, Frazier, andTyson. KO percentages don't tell the whole story.
