Okay so you are saying he was ahead while injured. I'm still asking for your score card, which you have not provided. My point is if Vitali was way ahead with the injury it shows he was the better fighter.

Byrd was 6’1 ½ 210 pounds. 40 pounds above the middle weigh limit. Many top heavyweights were former middleweights by the way. I asked who would have won without the injury, and you give an " edge answer"...so I'll assume you're saying Vitali would have won if no injury occurred.

If this is they case, the loss was solely because of the severe injury. In other words Byrd was L-U-C-K-Y the way an average tennis player is down 2-0 in sets and behind in the third but gets a win when the star got hurt and had to retire.

Vitali actually did weasel out of those last rounds. He should have said "cut me Mick" and they could have cut his arm off and packed it in ice so that he could have finished the fight. A true champion would have done that. So what if he could never box again? Tsk.
