OSDT might help a bit, but guys who train while using PED's will always have an advantage. PED's allow you to train more, more training means better muscle memory, which means better skills then without the PEDs.

They should just institute a 1 and done rule,. You get caught once, you're finished.

No one (unless they make a mistake) gets caught when they know when they're going to be tested. You need random testing throughout the year.

No, the random drug testing throughout the year and it's planning/strategy/funding is the responsibility of the independent National Governing Bodies of each sport or groups of sports. The IOC has nothing to do with this. The IOC are only responsible for the drug testing during the Olympic competition period.

Quite a big difference i.e. 4 weeks of random and scheduled tests during the event period Vs completely random "tell me where you will be every day of the next 365 days" testing. But if random all year testing is what was meant in the OP then okay, just a definition thing.

 

In no way should there be random over the year drug testing in pro boxing that is ridiculous.

I've got nothing against the opinion/argument that you should just allow everyone to Dope as much as they like as that's a valid stance. However, if you argue that some anti-doping measures should be in place then any drug testing programme that doesn't incorporate full random testing is only paying lip service to project an image of having a "clean" sport. In reality the testing program would be inadequate.

Not all types of Steroids are on the banned list. Birth control is not illegal either. Neither are any of the many types of steroids used to treat various medical conditions such as Asthma or immune system issues. You are only tested for PEDs that are named on a banned list. However, if you get an injury and the Doctor prescribes Testosterone/Anabolic steroids to aid in recovery, you're cheating (Greg Rusedski got caught for this in Tennis).
