Vito Antuofermo - Unbelievably Underrated

    Sorry I don't rate Antuofermo highly at all ,he beat Corro an average Champ on a split dec ,got a draw against Hagler he didn't deserve,imo,and beat a 35 year old Griffith and a Eugene Hart who had been stopped by Briscoe in 1,other than also beating a 35 year old Briscoe he lost to every top fighter,I saw Minter jab his face off at Wembley.Vito was brave and rugged , but lacked power ,and skill .

    Well done, Russell. Vito was one tough ******* who was middleweight champ in an era when the division was strong and had a lot of dangerous fighters. He should get more recognition for his accomplishments then he does.

    Thanks Tommy.

    I honestly think he's a better example of will over skill then even Marciano. Obviously not as great a fighter as Marciano, but he somehow made even more considering his total lack of physical tools.
