With his "mandatory" already cleared and no unification fight possible at the moment, why not?

Avenge a defeat against an interesting fighter/big puncher, make some money, and fight the winner of Sultan Cahg wearly next year.

I do respect Wladimir and don't give a **** what you think. I believe he is currently the most talented HW out there at the moment, maybe his brother would give him a run for his money. I dont think a Sanders rematch would be a competitive fight. Sanders may still have power, but it has been some time, not to mention Wlad as a fighter has matured since then. I don't see whats so funny about that. :-(

And as evidenced by some responses in this thread, this fight just might make Wladimir look bad, and give him negative publicity.

Corrie Sanders refused to give Vlad a rematch, but now Corrie will, just like Brewster who refused to give Vlad a rematch, until Brewster lost the title.

A rematch still doesn't amount to **** four years later. His brother already softened the guy up. Sanders is coming off a layoff I mean c'mon, unify some belts please. Their was no talk about a Sanders fight for the past four years up until now, perfect timing.

If it does happen it'll most likely be his last fight of the year.

I believe that some of the guys here claiming that Sanders is too old for Wlad blah, blah, blah are the same one believing that Lennox should give a rematch to Vitaly at 39??

Why not fight Sanders, although he is old his power and speed are there.
Speed and power gave him the victory first place not stamina.
