Wladimir wears Chagaev down and stops him as Chagaev becomes a stationary target in the late rounds. Wouldn't count out a decision win for Wladimir, it's how I think this fight would have ended up two years ago, but I'm picking Wladimir to stop him now.

I like Wlad by decision. I don't think he'll open up enough to go for a knock out. I wouldn't be surprised if this fight turns out to be another one of Wlad's boring defenses. He'll enhance his position as the best heavyweight today but he'll also enhance his reputation as a boring safety first fighter. If Wlad wins this will be one if not the best fighter he's beaten. If Chagaev beats Wlad then it will be hands down his best win.

me, McGrain and D-MAC anaylsed this fight in the brit forum waiting for Cotto vs Clottey. I just cant see past a wide UD for Wlad for many reasons McGrain and D-MAC highlighted he has to controll the pace (i cant see him being fit enough too) he has to controll the distance (i think hell be stuck on the end of the jab) He has to pressure Wlad (dont see him putting on too much pressure)
I am not surprised that Wlad is leading the poll by a wide margin. I am somewhat surprised that many feel it will be a boring win for Wlad. To produce a boring fight it one man has to establish technical superiority, and the other has to be willing to accept that pattern without risking much. I think Wlad is out to prove something in this fight. I also think Chagaev's will to win and heart is being under rated. I don't see a Wlad vs Ibragimov like ending.
I think that given what is on the line Wlad will fight to win and wont much care how he wins. In other words he fights safety first.
