Are you claiming the first McDermot fight is a legit loss for Fury?

    Which is worse?

8th fight novice Fury with zero amateur experience wining a controversial decision against McDermot.

    Or

Former gold Olympic medallist, 24th fight professional and WBC Internationl Champ Wladimir Klitcshko getting stopped by journeyman Ross Purrity??

I knew you were going to say that.

Wlad knew he was in for a 12 round fight? Are you trying to tell me he didn't?

He couldn't pace himself because Purrity kept coming at him. If he paced himself by lowering his work rate , Purrity would have gotten through earlier and got the stoppage earlier.

Fury did a hard fought 12 rounder against Chisora in only his 15th fight and didn't gas out and use 'pacing' as an excuse.
Wlad unlike Fury couldn't handle the pressure.
And he was a much , much more developed professional than Fury when he fought Chisora , never mind McDermot when he was an 8TH FIGHT NOVICE.

id have to disagree i was sitting vip for the fight and after the 7th round i knew jennings couldnt win on the scorecards thats how far behind he was...even if he won every round. jennings was simply not trying to take the risks necessary to atleast try to win the fight...too little too late...THe best part was when they were showing wlad and vitali sparring a bit from the dressing room.

If Jennings was not trying to win and was in survival mode , why was Wlad all over his back piece and illegally holding him non stop?

You musta forgot he got deducted a point for it in the 10th round.

Better jab? It's more powerful for sure but so what? A jab isn't used for power in the main. Fury can throw both regs and switch stance jabs and has a reach advantage.

Better footwork? Wlab is great at skipping back-and-forth in straight lines. He covers ground fast but must be at a more exact range to do damage than Fury. Fury can move himself about well on both inside and outside IMO, there's no distinct advantage for Wlad here.

Better defense? Only if he can rest and hug an awful lot.....

Wlad is pretty basic and unheralded at boxing on the inside so chasing Fury may not be as much of an issue as you presume.

I personally am taking Fury in the fight, especially at the odds available. Best HW match-up for a decade + IMO.

    :bbbMay the best man win!

I was surprised Wlad was able to bully Pulev all over the ring. He kept driving him backwards and Pulev seemed to weak to do anything about it.

I don't think he can do that to Fury. Wlad is done for If Fury has the strength to push him back and onto the ropes . If he can push a tractor , he can move Wlad.

However if Fury has this advantage , expect the ref to jump in every time and save Wlad from what he has made a career of doing to other fighters.

My after-fight prediction: Fury blows up to 350 lbs and won't fight for 20 months. Then he makes a comeback because he's broke.

I juste hope that you were not talking about that this joker tstreet. He seemed to be sour at K2 for whatever reason.

I do believe that Jennings gave some troubles to Wladimir but I am not buying anymore that Klitschko was spitting up blood etc...

He was spitting blood after the 6th round because of a left hook and/or right hand that landed on his chin but that's it. and tstreetz seems to make a story out of it.

If Fury shows up in good shape I think he'll actually give Wlad a more competitive fight than some will think he is capable of.

Wlad is in delcline, his jab has looked inconsistent in recent fights and Fury's size and physicality will cause him issues if he allows Fury to get into a rhythm.

But Wlad does perform better against guys that give him the range to box. Wlad will outbox Fury, Fury will not have the answers for Wlad's speed, movement and power. Wlad KO's him in about 7-8 rounds.
