No man all the Neo Nazi's on this site keep telling me Quillin is ducking so it must be true. They also tell me that GGG can knock out Hopkins and Kovalev at 175

The fight can't happen as long as the Cold War's in effect, and HBO has bigger fish to fry lined up for Golovkin. Maybe down the road, if politics resolve themselves, Quillin can challenge Golovkin, but there's no way it's happening in the near future. Strictly business.

You can't take a lot of the things said on here seriously. Either guy would take the fight if it made sense. Right now it does not make sense.

Thanks for responding... I understand that it's the nature of boxing right now. And I understand that making this fight is close to impossible right now.

    And my question to you...

Doesn't this video outright squash the silly rhetoric you hear repeated around here about how Quillin is shamelessly ducking GGG?

:good You're absolutely right. Either fighter would jump in the ring with the other. But you don't have to convince me of that... You should try and convince this guy:

There's no point of trying to convince. He clearly has no intention of being rational. Who knows what he truly believes

I'd agree with that. I used to buy in a little of that back in the day until I stepped back and looked at the politics behind why it wasn't happening. Now, I've got a more sensible outlook on it. I don't have any doubt this fight would be made if both fighters fought on the same network. :thumbsup

Indeed. ^ Both know the fight can't happen 'cos of the cold war. GGG hasn't been mentioning Kid C (although Abel mentioned him recently in just this context) and Quillin hasn't said anything recently 'bout GGG. The only one fanning the flames really has been De La Coca -saying Quillin is the best MW in the world. Hellova drug ain't it?

Golovkin changes. He doesn't smile anymore when he gives his interviews in English.
Seems kinda irritated a bit with all the talking done by Stevens, Quillin.

Tricky innit. he gave an interview in a Kazakh newspaper where he basically says he doesn't like all the PR crap and just wants to get on with the fighting, but he knows it's part of the business.

Also, don't know if you've ever tried speaking a language which you're not adept at, but that's what you tend to do - smile a lot, try to get by with a few words, be polite. Genas english has improved to a degree where he ain't quite so self concious 'bout it I think. Similar thing happened with 'Zoo back in the late 90s.

That said, he seems to have fun in the gym and genuinely get on well with the other fighters training or sparring with him. I think he just likes the sport an' the camaraderie in training, respects other fighters (which is why Stevens annoyed him) but dislikes the publicity circus that surrounds pro boxing.

The fight could've happened last year, before Quillin had a belt and before the HBO/GBP beef. Quillin declined and Golovkin fought Makoto Fuchigami.

Golovkin would never fight someone like Quillin with so few losses...You have to have a 3 loss minimum to fight triple flea!
