I think David UK has some great points- if Cotto and Hatton can fight at catchweight(144?) it would make one of the biggest/best fights of the decade. I possible fight with PBF will run into trouble over money- Hatton IMO brings just as much to the table
Judah,Mitchell and Spinks are 'nothing' fights for Hatton and I doubt HBO would agree to them anyway. Fact is, he's always struggled with southpaws,Magee,Collazo,Urango. There's plenty of big fights still available,Malignaggi,Mayweather,Harris(if he beats Witter, which I doubt) Cotto. Hatton hates Witter and the only way I could see that fight happening is if Hatton loses a couple of fights and looks for one last payday in the UK
The other observation which I forgot to mention, was that the Castillo fight wasn't a gruelling fight, so there's no reason to have a long rest. This should preserve Hatton's 'miles on the clock'
but what so that means a fight with Judah will never happen because poor old Ricky might lose. imagine that he can put away Tszyu with dirty tactics yet probably gets a lesson by Judah. what would that say about his legacy. i didnt want to say this to you of all people Dave but you are starting to sound like Frank Warren with trying to hide Hatton's flaws.
How about a rewriting of a Manchester chant with Hatton put in place of "football".... Left side of crowd: "Oh Manchester". Right side of crowd: "Oh Manchester". Left side: "Is wonderful". Right side: "Is wonderful". Whole crowd:"Oh Manchester is wonderful, its full of tits, fanny and Hatton, Oh Manchester is wonderful". Maybe change fanny for ***** so the Yanks understand it, and so that HBOs team have to apologise to the viewers.
