Causing one cut on furys eye has really done wonders for Wallins reputation too bad he couldn't do anything with the opportunity except frantically try to jam his thumb in the cut all night while losing every other round
But what has Wallin done ? Whyte still has a far better resume. Wallins gameplan and execution against Fury was decently impressive but he hasnt shown much besides that. Fury went 100 percent and wallin got battered around. And Fury himself isn't known to be a good inside fighter.
Even though Fury destroyed Wilder on the inside? Wallin is unbeaten other than Fury. Purely based on their physical attributes and ability I think Wallin beats him.
Fury beat a technically limited fighter who has nothing up close, Wilder works at range he cant fight on the inside like Chisora or Povetkin. Wallin may be unbeaten but he hasn't fought anyone of note beisdes Fury. If Wallin tried that pressure gameplan like he did on Whyte he'd catch hooks to the body and would get roughed up. Until Wallin does more theres nothing suggesting he'd beat Whyte. I feel like Whyte is underrated after his loss to povetkin. He still has a decent resume with wins over Parker, Chisora 2x and Rivas.
He didn't deserve to beat Chisora the first time and he was losing the rematch til he pulled a huge punch out the bag in the last round. He got away with all sorts of fouls against Parker the head butt being a big factor which changed the fight. Rivas was a decent win but it was close, he was dropped late. I hardly think he's under rated some people talk as though he could beat Fury and Joshua.
What I posted post fight Fury/Wallin As for the current topic: I don't personally like Whyte and I think he stops him.......................Every fight I've seen Wallin in (and I've gone back now), I just don't see it. Fury got cut, fought injured and semi out of shape and still had his way with Wallin. I'm genuinely curious, no hate on Wallin...............point me to what I'm missing. This is a legitimate question that I'd like addressed.
Who thinks he could beat Joshua and Fury ? Regardless he's still a good inside fighter and has went toe to toe with good inside fighters, even Joshua had quite a bit of trouble with Povetkins Hooks and infighting
