    The HBO deal suggests he will have two fights before Kovalev I think, providing they both remain unbeaten until then

    A 38 year old nobody from Colombia who was previously fighting at middleweight and has zero quality wins? Unacceptable fight. Shame on Andre Ward.

    @ 175? If so, why not fight an actual light heavy weight? I'm cool with a tune up or a build up to a super fight but his current streak is depressing. I hope he is leading up to a Kovalev clash in 2016.

    Hard to find much better given the circumstances. Why not just fight an actual 175 pound journeyman instead?

    in defense of andre ward not facing an actual light heavyweight

    his given his opponent so little time to prepare I doubt many light heavies would be able to make weight comfortably in time so I think he kind of had to pick a super middle

    tbh I taught this could be the case. I also expect that wards salary is heavily subsidised my Jay Z. If his earning 2 million for this fight id expect Jay Z to be paying between 1.5 and 1.8 million of it
