    No,Iceman.

Bernard's loss to Joe was sandwiched between what may have been his two best wins, Tarver and Pavlik.

He couldn't make the weight comfortably for 160 anymore when he was facing Taylor.

What Bernard did AFTER Calzaghe shows he was far from shot.

Froch might be "slow as hell" but he's also tougher than a two dollar steak. No way Slapsie Cal, brutalizes Carl, not to mention Froch is a true warrior, and if he had to walk right through Slap-happies onslaught to tear his head off, that's exactly what he would do. Froch never in a million years lets himself get beat by Calzaghe, and he would do whatever it took, and go to any lengths too make sure he came out victorious.

Joe would destroy Ward, after a 3 year lay off his hands would be fully healed.

Way to many my friend, you seen one you've seen them all. He gives you a better understanding of why a fighter like Rosenbloom was not very well thought of to the fans of his day. Not my cup of tea, would rather watch Carl Froch any day of the week.

Even considering the extreme lunatic posts (pro and con) regarding Calzaghe, this has to rank as on of the daftest.

Lol, this is just plain silly any impartial fan would tell you Ward schools Joe now and in his Prime. Joe has now been eclipsed by Ward by the age of 28 . . . how badly must that hurt joes fans . . .LMFAO

So much **** on this thread. Prime Calzaghe v Ward would have been a hell of a fight. If I was to come down on one side I'd say Ward edges it, but im far from certain on this.

I'd have paid really good money to watch how Calzaghe adapts to Ward as the fight goes on.

btw as much as im a fan of Joe he only has himself to blame for folk trashing his resume. Its better than some posters are claiming, but not nearly as good as it could have been.

Calzaghe ducked almost every major challenge of his career. Why would he step up now? If there was a coke tooting contest Calzaghe would be all over Ward. No way Ward can hold a line like Calzaghe.

Calz greatest win was against a solid champ/former champ Kessler I'm still in awe to this day how anyone counts his win vs rjj and his win vs hops well if you think pascal is a future hof then you also think a mid 40's Hopkins is prime.

Hopkins was good enough and still props to him for beating Pascal and taking his belt. but he is Jean ****ING Pascal...OK? :huh Who has 1 big win and a lucky win over the guy who kicked hopkins ass twice in Dawson.
Hopkins get credit for beating Pav (i get that) but Ornelas?? seriously who cares. And Jones who just came off a LOSSTKO1 to danny green (another great win another disgraceful performance by both)
and joe gets NO CREDIT for "moving up" 7 pounds to fight a "bigger guy" guy with who was a middleweight for 20 YEARS before moving 2 fights earlier:rofl....i love these "moving up to take on hopkins the king of 175" yet joe fought as a guy in a division higher than him by 8 pounds .
Calzghe was a pro for about 14 years maybe a little more...he was super middleweight 12 of those years while hopkins was a middleweight...yet joe moves up and fights the bigger guy? ive heard it all now
just because hopkins can beat most people at an age where no one else can , he is way past his prime yet. Joes victory over Hopkins was about as good as Hopkins win over Jones II
