..People like you are such douche bags. Hey guy, a prime Calzaghe was a force to be reckoned with, hence being an undisputed champion with whatever good amount of title defenses..and beating a few pretty damn good fighters, albeit probably not as many as Ward.

At the end of the day, he didn't sport the record he did, and remain champion for so long by being mediocre.

So from now on, whether you say Ward is better or not, lets at least try and apply some form of logic to our blind **** talking.

Nope, both of those guys called Joe out

And they were actually active at the time, not in retirement for 3 1/2 years

    :good

There's nothing wrong with Ward's team calling Joe out, retired or not, they just want a payday and that's fair enough

But it's not like Joe fighting Hopkins, who was ranked number 3 p4p when Joe fought him

He took the Jones fight for a payday, similar to what Ward is trying to do now. Beating a shot 40 year old retired Calzaghe won't do anything for his legacy

Hopkins was on all the P4P lists you bitter old ****:roll:

He'd just beaten Antonio Tarver and Winky Wright, and after Joe he schooled Pavlik.

Culd you just imagine what they would be saying if Ward beat a shot 40 year old Calzaghe.
They have wanted Calzaghe to lose because he beat all of Americas top SMWs that would fight him Brewer, Manfredo, Sheika, Lacy, Mitchell and their two legends in Hopkins and Jones.
They wouldnt care if Calzaghe only had one arm, it would be a great day for the ESB haters

Shows the ignorance doesnt it, because at the time Calzaghe had beaten -
Eubank a far greater win than Kessler
Woodhall who had a better SMW resume than Froch at the time
Reid who was a better SMW than Dawson
Veit who was undefeated and became a SMW champ and had a better SMW resume than Abraham who was 1-2 in his last 3 fights when Ward fought him
Sheika who was top 10 rated and had beaten G Johnson, who A Green was KOd by years later when shot.
Starie top 10 rated who had beaten undefeated C Woods who became IBF LHW champ

    Yes it shows the ignorance

Are you a Calzaghe fan then? You're one of the dumbest people I've had the misfortune of interacting with :rofl:patsch

Calzaghe has the worst haters of any fighter on here. Threads pop up about him daily from people who dislike him which is strange. Ward beating a shot 40 year old Calzaghe would strike up a euphoria on here from some posters, that would be reminiscent of celebrations when they tore down the Berlin wall!

Calzaghe didn't want to step into the ring with Carl Froch or Chad Dawson, while Calzaghe was in decent shape.

So what makes people think he would step into the ring now while he is no longer in good shape, and against a fighter (Andre Ward) who demolished fighters (Dawson/Froch) whom Calzaghe ran away from?

This fight will not happen, Calzaghe never wanted it then and sure wouldn't want it now.

or maybe he should pick on guys that have been knocked 3 times while they as well as being in their 40's like Joe did (ROY)

or just wait 3 more years and call out Joe again when he is 43 years old and still undefeated.... but joe is the super studd for beating hopkins at that age after hopkins lost 2 times to jermain taylor.

****ing amazing the hate ward gets :rofl

:patsch Dig up the official pick thread for Calzaghe vs Lacey, Nobody thought Joe stood a chance very very few gave him a chance. and Cowards do not go in there fighting guys that had the hora Lacey had going into the fight.
and he beat Hopkins sure Hopkins was older but Hopkins was still able to beat who since? so its not a bad win over Bhop either you cant say Hopkins was done there.

Joe Calzaghe is one of the best if not the best SMW

Jones I agree we didnt need that fight, Hopkins look what he has done since Joe beat him.... so you cant say Hopkins was all done or shot when Joe beat him credit where its due

Calzaghe spent his prime fighting semi pro trash for an illegitimate fringe title. He had no prime to speak of. As for his fighting Ward? At his best he would have been a 5 to one underdog for good reason.
