So being respected gets you into the top 10? Beating top ranked fighters has nothing to do with it? Ok.......
One of the best in the world P4P! What a crock of ****! I think you'll find some of that 'wide respect' you speak of rubs off a lot outside the U.S. I just wish you guys had more fighters at the top so you could find someone worthy of these lofty platitudes you give Andre Ward. He's had a very good career in terms of wins on paper. However to hold him in such high regards P4P with such great performers over long periods of time like the Klitschkos, Floyd, Manny, Marquez etc is just bizarre. Lets not forget Stateside you guys had Broner ranked up with the great p4p fighters! I have an idea, why don't the U.S. boxing 'experts' just pretend that Golovkin, Kovalev, Froch, Klitschko are actually american, lets also pretend some of those guys are black and not white . Then at least you guys (even if it is a tad delusional) would have some real fighters. Algieri looked good, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you guys......:rofl.
boxing wise, pac moved up 2 weight classes, after onle 1 fight at 135. dela hoya moved down 3 lbs. different cirtumstances, regardless of the financial impact it made on pac's career.
Ward appears to be retired...............................Stevenson has called out Ward live on HBO, said he would fight Ward at 168, but Ward refused to even answer him. Ward said that Kovalev was too big for him.....................Goosens made Ward big money, so Ward thanks them by suing them, Ward has lost, but is suing again.............Ward should go into law...............
Ward living off his reputation of the past-thats it.What he has done lately to back it up is nothing.Ward is an idiot listening to the wrong people and it's biting him in the ass.Who cares about this homer now, anyway.
If he doesn't have another fight by November of this year, he should be removed for inactivity. A Champion has to prove they are the best now, can't point to past deeds forever. He wil be buried like Foreman's lineal claim was in the late 90s after Holyfield beat Tyson and unified with Moorer.
I think any fighter would be weakened due to weight loss, they're losing muscle if it's below their usual campaign weight. But drained to me is someone who looks like Skeletor lol
Dawson was definitely drained. Dawson didn't have a lot of body fat at 175 and he had a very hard time making 168. He was ko'd in sparring by Miranda in preparation for the Ward fight and Ward shook him badly with a jab. Dawson was more drained than Oscar against Pac.
I think Edwin is only not written off as a scrub by those with an agenda. His best win is a low level kickboxer. Ward should be dropped p4p if he doesn't take a decent fight before the end of the year.
