Good. Because I was about to start accusing you of being one of the other Ward haters. It's just that I don't pay attention to other posters so closely like you do. I'm here to discuss the fighters. If I were here to discuss other posters, or pay attention to their signing in and out habits, well that'd just be downright gay.

What's funny about this to me is that I don't even know who these people are. Usually any sensible person can compare posts and notice little things like grammar and spelling, or choice of words...and opinions. It's amazing what one can do with just a little bit of common sense and a brain cell or two.

Ward could'nt even stop derek findley and was put on his arse by darnell boone...

His biggest win is over a declining pantera who pavlik and abraham took out mid rounds,i agree he's a good fighter and you have to respect the fact he won gold at the olympics but he has never come close to fighting someone like kessler a guy who cleaned out the division (with the exception of calzaghe) a guy who has never been down as a pro or amateur, kessler has an extremely fluid and crisp technique he picks his shots and holds the ring well combine that with his punching power and tight defense and wards in for a hell of a night, honestly when he tee's off the guy has phenomenal power i see this as a bit of a chessmatch to begin with, with each picking their shots but kessler landing the harder crisper ones which catch the judge's eye,it will probably go to a decision (a fairly close one seen as it is on wards hometurf ) either fighter may even touch the canvas ( i lean towards ward doing so more than kessler) but i have to go with kesslers experience and ability here,i could be wrong though as kessler is not the most active of fighters recently...

    kessler at his best,holy ****: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzY6PS6N2nE[/ame]

Danny_rand if you pull your head out of Andre Ward´s ass,and start to watch some boxing, then you might be able to bring some facts to the table! Sartisan´s real name is SARTISON.. And if you compare Ward´s opponents to Kesslers, then you know that ward haven´t fought anybody at all...Miranda who get knocked out every time he face somebody with 2 hands,is Andre Ward´s best win...

    so once again,Ward is a talented guy,with a nice personality..and i like him,because he act like a gentleman.

    But you Dannyboy,is just a joke :-(

I think Kessler may have bulked up too much. Compare his physique to Ward and the difference is considerable.

Having watched both guys, I see Ward sneaking a decision in a competitive but lacklustre fight. He just looks too fleet of foot for Kessler and I see him getting success to both head and body. Kessler's timing will have to be spot on, and with his inactivity, I don't think it will be.

end of the day Kessler has been excellent at a very average level....hes been harvesting on a very poor super middle division.

Now we some young stars on the Horizon and an excellent old Cat(FROCH), we for once have depth.

We are not relying on Rugby league player(Mundine) semi retired guys Beyer/Lucas to provide fodder for Kessler

I feel that Kessler is slightly overrated, but Ward - as good as he is - can't be the favorite here. Ward has never fought such a tough opponent. His skillset is very nice, but who has he fought apart from Miranda? Kessler's reign isn't that impressive either. What really is a bit ridiculous is to predict a win by KO for Ward. I would bet some money that this ain't gonna happen ;-)

All in all Ward vs. Kessler is a 40:60 fight. Kessler has some decent skills, same is true for Ward, but I feel that Boo is right. Ward can't hurt Kessler - he's no Calzaghe who throws 1000 punches a round and never fades and he's also no Abraham who can decide a fight with one single punch. Thus Kessler won't have much respect...

great vid. Andrades chin is awesome, a match for Kesslers awesome power, dunno if Ward can stand the power like Andrade. Although he'll have better defence, Kessler just needs a fraction of the shots he landed on Andrade to put Ward away IMO. ::p

While I thought your analysis was well rounded and informational I must point out the fact that judging fighter of Kess and Wards capabilities and skill sets is not as simple as you may think. Styles surely do make fights and this match up screams chess match. I only slightly favor Ward because of his ability to adjust speeds with great fluidity. Kess is a superb student with the kind of all around ability that any trainer would love to mold becuase his foundation is so solid. I believe Kess's downfall in this fight will be is inablity to make the proper adjustments in this fight. While I'm not big on judging figther on previous performances you must take into consideration Kesslers fights with Calz, Andrade and Mundine. In all three events Kesslers showed me that he is dertermined to impose his will at all cost, Kess feels there is no need to tweak his attack that eventually his oppossition will subside and give in. Not the case with Calz, as Calz made the proper adjustments and gave kess more angles, Andrade kept coming and Kess never once thought about focusing on the body as he was one track minded on the head attack. In the Mundine fight Kess could have easily added more damage by becoming a dedicated and patient counter puncher...let Mundine dictate the pace and murder him with counter shots. Ward's versitility will lead him to victory. Ward showed me true grit and a tuff man attitude during his bout with Pantera meaning he has a lot more than just talent to work with. If Kess is willing to take a backseat and bottle his agression until he sees golden opportunites he will increase his chances of catching ward with the kind of damaging shot that will have kess being looking like the ultimate agressor leading him to a Ud.
