For a fight to be a 'schooling' it can't be a boring fight. People use the term 'schooling' on here too often to describe fights that were nothing of the such. A 'schooling' was what Calzaghe did to Lacy. 'Schooling' someone isn't a boring fight where one guy throws 8 punches a round and sits back and refuses to engage etc. There has to be a willingness to engage for it to be a schooling and also a fighter that doesn't let off the gas the whole fight.

    Naw.
Although it's a big fight, it isn't on the scale of May/Pac.

Neither Ward or Kovalev have the credentials of Mayweather and Pacquaio. To my knowledge, no other current boxer does with the exception of JMM and Cotto who are in the neighbourhood, but at the bottom of Elite hill.

This fight will help Ward or Kovalev to start building to one day possibly match the accomplishments of Pac/May.If matched today, they fall short, with Ward being further down the road than Kovalev.

Both are supposedly in or very close to their primes and neither hasn't been brutally knocked out. Big difference my friend, I truly expect alot more from Kov and Ward.

Think Ward and Kovalev's style make a far better fight than the other two. Also don't think Ward is on the same level as Mayweather in terms of adapting his style when and where necessary. Ward is good defensively, but he gets hit way more often than Mayweather ever allowed. He also stands in the pocket much more than Mayweather would have in a fight like this.. Couple this with the fact the defensive guy is the one making the jump in weight and all in all, whilst it's easy to understand the comparison - this is very much a 50/50 fight.
