Ward doesn't like post fight press conferences and I don't blame him. He got his paycheck and wants to go home. Not sit at a table with a busted up eye answering stupid questions from Dontae Youtube Boxing and that other dude Egovelli Boxing.:patsch

Ward is as big as krusher so not a small lightheavy at all. Would be a tiny heavy though.

He said years ago he wanted to be a heavyweight champ some day. Only way I see it is if a title gets vacted and a chump gets it like Glazkov. Martin is actually legitimately good and would beat down Ward easily.

Oh my goodness...Ward vs. Fury (if that indeed becomes his choice of "Ruiz") would be FILTHY.

No chance, The HW division is better than it was in Roy's time.

It would not last long and Fury would have him punch drunk very early

You don't think Ward does as well as, say, Cunningham?

Be real, even at LHW he's got his work cut out for him (and beating Kovalev would be impressive on it's own) at CW let alone HW he gets absolutely crushed.

He'd get knocked out alot faster than Cunningham did.

    He'd outbox Charles Martin.

...because Paul Smith grazed him with an overhand right?

Fury struggles when he needs to reach down to chase a much shorter opponent who is also quick on their feet and possessing boxing skill & ring IQ.

Strange that everybody seems to be envisioning Ward just doffing his cap and staying in the pocket to oblige Fury with free shots. As flat-footed as we fought Barrera is hardly what you'd see from Ward vs. a super heavyweight. Much as Fury approached Wlad completely differently and with greater caution (and using constant movement in wide swaths) than his own more flat-footed performance against, say, Neven Pajkic.

No I don't, totally different styles and Fury was clowning Cunningham hard. Still think Fury was still hungover from the night before Cunningham.

Fury is much more dedicated to the fight game now.

Also Cunningham is much, much larger than Ward. He has a reach comparable to Wilder and bigger than Wlads.

Fury beats him any way he wants inside or outside it doesn't matter. Fury has all the advantages size, speed, power, ring IQ just a total mismatch even if we disregard the stupidly ridiculous size advantage.

What weight would Ward fight at anyway?

Speed: Picture a 6ft5 Usain Bolt running 10m in .9 sec's it only takes him 2 strides a bloke like Tray Bromell will do 10m in .95sec and does 3 strides.

Tray Bromell can do 3 strides faster than Bolt but Bolt covers more distance.

Same with punching, Ward might throw 3 punches faster but covers less distance so is actually slower. Hand and foot.

Ward has never beaten an ATG and made them look like a beginner like Fury vs Wlad. Fury is one of the great boxing strategists and can adapt to any situation.
