You asked rhetorically, "Has Ward ever fought outside of Oakland", to imply he hasn't, which is 100% false and short changing his accomplishments. It's a ***** move. Ward is a stand up guy, humble, hard worker, and deserves the respect he's earned in the ring. I get why someone wouldn't like PBF, that's fair...ward is the opposite and should be respected as such, period.

So Manny had the welterweight title, not Cotto? Are you sure about that?

How about that vacant, bogus WBC 154 pound belt he fought Margarito at 150 for? Was he already a champ there too?

Was talking more along the lines of the Cotto rematch, the marquez fight, and trying to get Mosley in 2009 at 140 and Morales at 130 instead of 132

All had Pacquiao looking for a weight advantage, exactly what Ward is doing here.

Ward is staying at his weight though, he's been fighting at 168 for some time now.. Pac went to 147 for ODLH, back down because 140 is his 'natural' weight class, back up again to 147 after Cotto had to come in at 145, then got a title shot at 150 for 154lb belt, then wouldn't go below 144 for JMM, then fought Bradley at 147... Pac is all over the place, and it seems he chooses the weight based on who he fights and how it will effect them, not him. Me thinks they are different.

Ward has stayed consistent on his weight, because I believe he's more comfortable there.. He's looking to be comfortable, not discomfort his opponent in my opinion.

So you think Ward rejected fighting Dawson at 170, because he is worried about how it would affect him, and not Dawson?

You figure not having to cut 2 extra pounds would put less stress on 'Dre

When was he flyweight champ? Like 15 years ago? He was gaining 15+ pounds over night as early as featherweight and was a welter on fight night by Super Feather. :tired Don't let him fool you.

I've no problem with slating Oscar for some of the advantageous fights he took part in.

That's the difference between I and everyone else in the General Forum. My favourite fighters CAN do wrong. :hi:
