ok. you got me. i guess i'm a homer. i even use to train at the same gym as him, king's gym. he's the nicest guy you meet. walks into the gym greets everyone before they greet him. changes in the same smelly locker as the amateurs and the misfits like me who are just trying to get in shape. i went to the oracle and the place was loud and energetic.

I'm so glad to hear Ward is as cool as he seems to be. He's a class act and a hell of a talent. The only guy who poses a problem for Ward is Abraham, and that's because he's so unorthodox and has that crazy one-punch power. I'd love to see Ward vs Dawson. That'd be one hell of a fight.

My friends lagged and we just made it in time for the main event. I had wanted to see the undercards, as one of my friends grew up with one of the undercard fighters.

Luckily Ward kicked Kessler's ass which made the money more or less worth it.

Ward's punch resistance is the question mark. He has had some chin issues early in his career. He took the shots from Kessler well enough, but it's not like Kessler landed many anyway.

i agree abraham will give anyone problems. he's like winky wright with power. but you don't know if jt is that shot or abraham is really that good. dawson vs ward would be good, but it would go 12 rounds. it should be in oakland, because ward is developing quite a following. i was shocked to see the crowd at the oracle arena. he's the only thing us bay area sports fans can be proud of right now. our baseball, basketball, and football teams flat out suck. i heard dawson couldn't even sell 1000 ticket when he fought johnson last time and it was only 45 minutes from his home.

did your friend do good? Yeah I so proud of ward that night. Cause bay area sports suck the moment. I'm for them to put a card together w/ donaire, robert guerro, and ward @ the oracle or hp pavillion.

Everyone in the tourney is better than froch as well as others left out. I don't think froch could beat miranda, bika, or allan green LOL. I think miranda would knock his head off. Ward will easily beat him because he won't make the same mistake as dirrell did and he will bring it to him. Ward doesn't respect the euro fighters skillz at all and that's how he treated kessler from the start and that's how he will treat froch if they ever fight. If dirrell would have stood his ground and not given froch all the respect, he would have stopped the bumb. Instead he thought he could actually win by hitting the guy with the flusher, more telling punches while only being hit by 3 power shots the whole fight LOL. He should have known that Clean punching wasn't gonna be the prime scoring criteria in froch's home town. He will learn from that and start bringing it to people like fighters with his gifts are suppose to. If I had his skillz I would be ashamed to not beat froch and I would have been sick after watching ward handle a stronger, slower opponent the right way like dirrell should have. As for froch he's getting KOed in his next two fights.

Froch harder fight than Kessler because Froch is a street fighter. However, Ward's referee will disqualify Froch if he lands a punch on Ward. Froch will butt back.

Ward by wide UD in America, Ward by SD in Europe. I think Ward is a bit too fast and slick for Froch and Ward mixing it up will further trouble him.

Yes I've been to the King's gym a few times as well. I am occasionally lucky enough to tag along with a good friend of mine that spars Ward regularly (closed/private sessions, Virgil actually told this individual that he was the best sparring they had for Kessler). I've known Ward is a beast for quite some time now. I've been lucky enough to see him perform well beyond what the rest of the world has seen, until Kessler anyway. And he is just like you describe....very personable. It is beyond me how these straight knit-picking HATERS, or anybody for that matter, can root against such a nice guy with such focus, commitment and determination.

Ward by intentional head butt from left field.
