Im European, and I dont really understand this.

Wlad is probably the only European in the top 10 p4p.

Fighters from the Americas dominate the sport from about 122 and up to Cruiser.

And the Japanese pretty much dominate it below that.

Only divisions that Euopeans dominate are Cruiser and HW. (Even the arguable no.1 at cruiser is Cuban)

 

Ward is the more talented fighter, no doubt, but it has to irk him that Froch is worth about 10x and has a huge following.

It's ironic that the division's No.1 fighter is the most forgotten about.

NOBODY cares about Ward. He is like the SMW version of Rigo. He NEEDS Froch, Groves and the rest of them.

Ward won't go up in weight, won't fight out of America, is a **** poor ticket seller... Why does ANYONE else need him?

 

Well Martinez is still considered the lineal champ there.

Even GGG is debateably "European", considers he comes from a country East of Iran.

But yeah, you could argue theres more top Euros at middle than not.

Ward is not needed one bit. If anything, people are caring less about him. This legal battle of his has really hurt his career.

Hes also repeatedly said on numerous occasions that hes willing to fight Froch in the UK if the money is right...he even said it on UK TV after a Froch fight.

 

Unfortunately for Ward too many of his fans spend most their time on their computers and dont actually spend any money going to watch him fight

He could have fought the universally accepted division #2 in Bute, but decided to play matchmaker in the post-fight presser after he beat Froch and recommended that Carl take him on instead. Just say that you're injured and would love to fight Bute down the road so you can be consistent with your comments from before the S6 finale... nope, instead he contradicts himself and hands Bute to Froch on a silver platter. What a warrior.
