    Abraham was KO'd. Why wasn't Ward? Thats what I want to know?

    Ward should be forced to wear a glove on his forehead when he fights.

    Wow people are really reaching. AA lost just like RJJ he hit the guy while he was down, whether it being caught in the moment or not you cant do it or you ge DQ'd.

    Really? Ward was dominating and needed no headbutt to win. He dominated and though he used his head it had no REAL effect on the outcome of the fight. Head butt or not Kessler got his ass kicked. Abraham on the other hand, was being totally dominated and desperate and took a cheapshot on Dirrell. I think AA still had a shot to get him but what he did was illegal. Not to mention i thought Dirrell did a bit of acting, but to say Ward should be disqualified because AA was is stupid.

    Exactly. I actually think Abraham had a good chance of stopping Dirrell late, but what he did certainly warranted a DQ.

    As for Ward and Kessler, this is just ridiculous. Sour grapes, nothing more.

    Ward thoroughly outclassed Kessler in every facet of the fight game.

    Kessler is a one dimensional fighter. His style is very effective against most breed of fighters, but against someone who can move and use angles, he is hopeless.

    Ward presents such a stylistic nightmare for Kessler. So, too, did Calzaghe (even though they used different means for throwing Kessler off his game).

    Ward is winning this all.

    If Andre Ward was European and Kessler was African-American, you'd be praising him for his speed, intelligence, and skills, while calling for Kessler-Vitali/Wlad Klitschko fights.

    Can this really be disputed?

    True, Calzaghe didn't need to throw in a headbutt for every 2 punches he threw nor had to hold him on the inside.


    Ward + Jack Reiss + Oakland = unbeatable.



    p.s. Ward's nickname is the worst i've ever seen. Son of God?? Really?? Aren't we all? What's next, "Mike 'the human being' Tyson" ? :huh

    Yes he should.

    The idea clearly was "use all your energy in the first 4-5 rounds... because Kessler often starts a little slow and if Perdomo could take an early round or two off Kessler you can take at least 3..." Then throw in some head-buts and the fight will be stopped in round 6 or so.

    Ward's success meant that it went on for longer and only when Ward showed signs of fatigue was it stopped.
