Ward is just one of those few fighters who you can't see losing to anyone and would be shocked to see lose.
Stevenson and his team must realize that his window as a fighter is closing rapidly.... Surely he will look to cash out against Ward or Kovalev this year?:blood
you would think so. i'm thinking he fights kovalev next. he has to realise this could be his last shot at a huge fight.
I edited that in as you were responding.:good But damn I'd love the see that, see how Ward would deal with someone with his skill level, which I think is a little bit higher than Kovalev's.
Is there a problem with Ward right hand/shoulder etc? I just cant find a reason why he wouldn't throw straight rights. Barrera's head was right in front of him with no movement. Even Roy Jones mentioned it so. Was it because Ward wanted to brush up his defense? I know straight right hand can be easily countered if missed wildly. I don't know maybe somebody else could see it.
Ward is very good. Very skilled. He won every round but he doesn't really punish/dominate guys. He can get away with it in Oakland but in other arenas around the world he could get booed. All the casuals are saying that this fight was boring as hell.
I was thinking the same thing, Kovalev's luck he probably injured and he'll have to take a year off.atsch
If you add his 9 matches as a pro with his 8 WSB matches which was dominant in, he's had 17. He's ready right now to beat most of the top of the division.
They really should start counting those bouts. That should be the standard for boxing anyway. Tournament style.:bbb
