That's not the same train of thought. Beterbiev has no signature wins. There is no Kovalev level guy on Beterbiev's resume.
Froch Kessler Dawson Bika Miranda Abraham Barrara Kovalev Who has a better resume in the modern era???
Well it does call into question of was Kovalev well past his prime during the Ward fight. Ever since the Chilemba fight he hasnt been all that great except for the first Ward fight. He went from one of the most dominant fighters of his era to just Ok. He was destroying everybody.
Before he fought Chilemba he was pretty did look like the Terminator. Everybody does get old. And a 31 year old Kovalev stands a pretty good chance of shattering RJJ jaw into a million pieces and send it into orbit. And I say this with respect to RJJ abilities. But 35 going on 36 after just recently been KO. Not a recipe for success.
What does that mean about Chenko's resume then? His biggest win has been koed 4 times, his loss has been koed 6 times?
But he told Andre that he hit like a girl, and that he was going to make a statement in the rematch by destroying him.
He certainly possess the power, but I don't think he'd have been given the opportunity to have landed flush.
+1. Even though I had Kovalev shading the first fight, Andre got a ton of credit from me for his resolve in that fight. Most guys saw the writing on the wall once Kovalev dropped them and got finished brutally.
