All the better for Lucian when he leaves Froch slumped in a corner.

Oh not to mention they didn't give Hopkins a knockdown when he dropped Pascal on his ass with a clear punch.

 He never landed anything when Pascal fell...it was Hopkins' thick skull that scored the knockdown. The "Ram Style KD"...

It's not about defending our fighters but rather making sure false perceptions aren't spread.

Bernard Hopkins & Golden Boy Promotions were treated like rock stars and the first thing they do is **** on the entire country for a close decision... The next thing you know, it's picked up by a bunch of patriotic Americans that spread the news to never come again to Canada...

The truth is that Canada is one of the most neutral places to fight more often than not. INTERBOX now always demand American judges to make sure everyone's happy.

After looking closely at the replays, Bernard actually avoided a 3rd knockdown because he influenced the referee from all his whining.... He never got called coming in with his head like he always does.. He knocked Pascal down with his head, not a fist...

If everyone starts saying you're a crook even if it's not true, then you'll have problems erasing that perception when it spreads, that's why we shouldn't get it started....

What would you expect? After all, Canada doesn't fall far from England.

Exactly , so easy to scrap a reputation with internet those days even if you have no facts and your opinion are base on nothing. Facebook the movie showed the perfect example, at the end of the movie, the facebook atorney, recommend to agree everything with the plaignant to be sure no rumours start at all, because when its starting to spread, you can't damage control the internet trolls.

We have good example since saturday.

Bad judging can happen everywhere. Get over it. There is no crown for the most fair judging.

As soon as I read that she's Israeli, that killed it for me.

And before anyone accuses me of anything, yes, I'm Jewish. Israelis are just fricking annoying. :nut

You've pretty much put my thoughts into words, can't believe the BS i'm reading against Canada these days. Only controversial fight was the end of Bute Andrade and any refs from any countries in the world would have had trouble managing that one. People just like to stir some **** up whenever their fighter doesn't win.

Canada is robbery central as far as competitive fights go, but it is a great venue for tune ups and quality "cannon fodder". They may not know how to judge a close fight, but the Canadians put on a hell of a presentation. Eh.

    You mean like scoring Martinez-Williams I 119-110?

You say it yourself : Close fight. If you can't score a close fight a draw, why is there a possibility of a draw in boxing? For onesided fights? :huh

Canada has it all wrong. Draws are not for close fights that could go either way. They are for fights like Cintron vs Martinez. We need to learn from our neighbors down south.
