Warren on Wlad-Haye and Kotelnik-Khan

Frank Warren believes heavyweight world champion Wladimir Klitschko will be too strong for Dave Haye when they meet on June 20 in a contest to be shown live on Setanta Sports 1.

A crowd of 60,000 is expected to pack the VTL ARENA in Germany and Warren believes not only is the Ukrainian the stronger man but the venue is less than ideal for the English challenger.

"David Haye has taken that fight because he is going to the lion's den and he had no other option because that fight was never going to take place in the UK despite what was being said," Warren told Setanta.com.

"Klitschko will be too big for him, be too much of a boxer for him and he does go over if he gets hit on the chin himself but then again so does David. In his last fight, I think he had the opponent on the floor four or five times but still got clipped and went over himself and was hurt.

"If he catches Klitschko he could knock him out but I do not see him outboxing Klitschko.

"If you look at David he has been stunned previously, [Jean-Marc] Mormeck had him on the floor although he beat Enzo Maccarinelli, Enzo wobbled him in the first round and cut him, a journeyman last time out had him on the floor and Carl Thompson has had him on the floor.

"We are talking about bigger men now. Guys who will be weighing 18 to 19 stone with big punches and David has come up from cruiserweight and he will be looking for speed, but his hands are too low and he won't get away with that at this level."

Seven days later, Amir Khan challenges WBA light-welterweight champion Andreas Kotelnik at The 02 Arena in London, and Warren is expecting a battle.

"It is a tough fight. He is a quality operator and won a silver medal himself in the 2000 Olympic Games losing to the same guy, Mario Kindelan who beat Amir in 2004," added Warren.

"I think it is a fight that he can win but it will be all about him remaining disciplined.

"He can't afford to be dropping his hands; rely on his speed, his foot work and throwing his shots and getting out again. This guy is very, very good and I don't think he has been on the floor - it is a tough fight which they [Kotelnik camp] fancy big time."

The Breidis Prescott knock-out threatened to derail Khan's career before it had fully started and Warren believes this defeat did have some important positives for the boxer.

"In some ways it was a little bit of a blessing in as much as the penny drops as far as the new trainer was concerned and he picked the opponent which I was not very happy with but he did.

"It also showed the things that Amir had to work on with his defence, dropping his hands and letting his heart rule his head. He certainly showed in his last fight against [Marco Antonio] Barrera that he is a different kind of fighter now.

"Prescott was a banger and anyone who gets hit can go over but it is how you come back from it."

Funny how he dismisses Haye's chances because of his chin yet doesn't mention Khan's chin. Prescott "was a banger" and it could have happened to anyone.

What a clown.

For starters, Haye wasn't put on the deck by Barrett (he slipped) and was hardly wobbled by Maccarinelli, a punch landed - this is a boxing match after all.

Warren talks a good fight but fails to deliver time after time...talking of chins...when is he going to let Khan face Prescot again...or anyone else who could threaten Khan chin?

To be fair to frank when haye slips barret wacks him whens hes on the floor which leads to haye walking to the ropes kneeling down and taking a breather when he stands up hes clearly a little shakey.
But hes bitter and twised as hell most of the time

Warren is a clown and I really despair that people still buy tickets to his awful promotions.

As much as I like Amir Khan, neither he, nor Kotelnik are Sky Box Office material at the moment. Sky Box Office should be reserved for the really big superfights. I won't be buying

Let's take a look at some current and former FW fighters:

Hatton and Calzaghe defended Mickey Mouse titles for years. Khan usually fights against featherweights and was knocked out in a round recently. Enzo usually fights the likes of Bobby Gunn and has been KOed twice in the last couple of years.

Now you have David Haye who went over to France and KOed the WBC and WBA champion, then knocked out Enzo in one of the most one-sided fights Britain has seen and now he's fighting Klitschko in his second fight at heavyweight. And all FW can do is criticize? What a joke. He should have retired like he said he would when Haye beat 'his man' Enzo.

Hes very predictable with his views.....at least hes consistent in slagging any fighter not in his stable.
