You're surely not referring to Nazim Richardson? A very underestimated trainer, IMO.

Roach was a hired hand. He was there to provide insight on how to break Calzaghe down and how to get BHop ready for the fight. It was a one fight deal. Hopkins had about 3coaches he was working with.
He had more influence in the Mayweather fight with ODLH that team could lasted longer if ODLH won, but ODLH blamed his coaching regime for the loss. :patsch
Not saying he was wrong or right but ODLH wasn't happy with the camp.

Khan is more his pupil just like Manny is his pupil. The difference between those two and the previous ODLH and BHop is that Roach was hired after the fight was practically signed. So he had no influence on matchup conditions. With Khan and Manny he's there coach before any fight is signed and he gets influence on who his fighter fights

For Manny and Khan Roach will always pic the best deals. For example getting Oscar to fight at 147 (the million dollar fine for every pound)getting Cotto to fight at 144 (sure there'll be a similar fine for Cotto as well). Im sure there's other contractual agreements that Roach lobbied for that were not aware of
