I appreciate your honesty Billy. Do you have anyone in particular in mind for Rickys 1st defence?

    Spot on,

Keeping the title in Britain degrades the belt big time, people arent stupid, even the casual fans can tell when its a domestic level match being dressed up as a world level contest.

Theres no Benn Eubank Collins type fight here, fair enough having Clev v Bellew for the WBO but Arthur is not in any kind of form and cannot make weight so it pointless.

Would it even be that big up in Scotland?? prob sell just as many tickets for Burns versus an unknkown from the wbo top 10. Arthur can get payed and keep rebuilding with a decent fight on the undercard.

Arthur looks like he struggles to make 135, and I don't think he has anything left, so even going up to 140 isn't going to help.

the article is in the Evening Times. A total rag of a paper with useless hacks and a spin off the Daily Record and Scottish Sun - which also spout shite.

The fight ain't happening, and if it does then its a non-title fight and Burns would need to go up to 135 or 140 for the fight, which isn't happening.

Interseting Wayne McCullough says Arthur no longer lives a lifestyle and is dedicated enough to get anywhere near world class level anymore.

    Arthur coach Terry McCormack

"Now we are looking forward to November when Alex will be in the ring again. The plan is another two warm-up fights, then who knows, another title shot?"

Arthur's promoter Frank Warren said "We will be looking to build on Arthur's win over McDonagh."

Looks like they are not expecting a title shot right now.

Got to love Warren..."Build on Arthurs win" = hopefully feed him to Burns.

Excluding the knock down Burns won the 1st round. Billy even told him the exact same, Burns threw the 1st round away because he left his chin hanging and got caught.
