Too soon. Put him in with a puncher in Euro class first and see how he does.

    It's hot air anyway.

    No point in rushing James.

I would so love this fight, but it's ****ing dangerous considering where Pavlik's mind is at the moment. You don't know what's going to show up.

possible win win situation. it's so early in his career to fight a former undisputed middleweight champion i think even if he loses he can at least make it seem to big a step too early.

but if he cant win i think he might do a good performance and for that it always helps...we love a struggler.

Apart from Groves there isn't much domestically for him. Patrick Mendy, McGuire and BJS. so I can see why Warren wants to fasttrack him, However a fringe world title contender or a really durable opponent would do wonders for his resume, someone like Marco Rubio, William Gare or Andrade

It would depend on which Pavlik turned up. If Pav had got over his problems and regained his hunger he could do a lot of damage to DeGale. Pav has lost to two great top P4P fighters, Hopkins at Light Heavy and Martinez and he wasn't stopped by either. This wouldn't be something I'd recommend for DeGale at this stage, he could take a serious beating.

good match, big name but a static boxer, degale will get the pts win, as long as he stays focused the full trip.

Pavlik seems to have lost his 'mojo' so it might not be a bad fight for Degale.

I think it is a little too soon to be taking on the likes of Pavlik even though I think DeGale is the real deal. If he is handled correctly a future HOF IMHO.

Easy to talk big in his newspaper column, much harder to throw De Gale in with a far more experienced puncher and come up with the money to make it happen.

Easy victory for Degale, I think he stops Pavlik.

Warren is just doing his job and throwing his fighters names all over the place, people shouldn't take it so seriously.

Degale hasn't faced a puncher yet as a pro! Taking Pavliks punches would be different to Smiths! Would exhaust him! Degale would lead him a merry dance at times but isn't quite ready yet! Pavlik wound pound out victory! 12 months time could be a different story!!!

Typical **** move from Warren - calling out a shot alcoholic. He wouldn't have gone anywhere near Pavlik a few years ago.
