If ward never come back then the thread title is spot on.
Ward retires after a low blow. That is indisputable.

There's nothing wrong with my eyes.

Go and watch Week's pre-fight instructions. He told both fighters where was legal.

Go and objectively look where almost all of Andre's shots landed.

Kov was complaining and looking for help even on shots that weren't even borderline. Andre him with a great 1-2, and the very first thing he did was to turn to look for Tony. He was desperate in there.

That fight was getting stopped regardless.

    Oh dear....Ward fans denying reality.
The blow was low. Check the video. Whether its 1 low blow or 10, 1 is enough. Your man fouled.
Weeks said in the prelim 'here is good, anything below that is low'. He had his hand on Kovalevs waistband. So anything below the waistband on Kovalev is LOW. In other words he did not find the waistband was unusually high.
Kovalev was not ducking below the waistline at the time of the stoppage so was doing nothing illegal.
Kovalev should've been given (up to) 5 mins to recover and wasn't.
We will never know how the fight would've panned out had that time been given, although I fully admit Ward was on top and may well have stopped him anyway. Weeks robbed us all of a definitive conclusion.

Beat the **** out of his testicles sure. It absolutely beggars belief how people can just try and dismiss this blatant cheating. Not to mention the robbery in the first fight. And I'm not crying, I don't give two hoots I'm no particular fan of Kovalev, however, will always call a spade a spade and call bull**** when I see it. And loaded dice Ward robbed Kovalev blind. Anyone with eyes and a brain can see that!!!

What Weekes said was immaterial. The rules of boxing state. " Any punch that lands below the navel is a low blow a FOUL" !!! Weekes did NOT enforce the rules. He let Ward get away with murder/ Not one caution

:risas3:Did anyone REALLY expect the NSAC to do anything else but try to sweep this under the carpet ?? After all the NSAC stated " Mr Mayweather did nothing wrong" after he was caught breaking their own rules :risas3::risas3:

Go and watch the fight again.

Go and look at where his shorts were.

Look where the red K (Krusher) logo was.

The red K logo was in a legal area.

Andre tagged that red logo on numerous occasions.

If you think that Weeks was mistaken for stopping the fight and/or not calling the blows low, then you can't possibly believe that it was only Kovalev who was robbed. Surely Ward was also robbed of the opportunity to finish the fight in a more convincing fashion and we as fans were robbed of the opportunity to see the fight reach a natural conclusion.

As it was, Kovalev was out on his feet, completely gassed, and in a very vulnerable position. In all likelihood he was on he way to being stopped in an even more embarrassing fashion. Ward could have landed uppercuts to Kov's head at that point as he was bent and spent. At least what Weeks did for Kovalev was give him the chance to cry controversy in a situation where he was otherwise going to get embarrassed further and stopped had the fight continued.

So it's nowhere near the black mark on Ward that some people make it out to be. Ward was never hurt or in trouble at any stage of that fight either, fwiw.
