Didnt see all the fight but caught about 9 1/2 rounds.

Taylor looked decent, his normal cautious, underwhelming self but thats what works for him.
Lacy actually looked a little better then I expected, slow and unimaginative but he didnt puff out as bad as I was expecting.

    Taylor vs Kessler please.

He was a sight better than in the Pavlik fights but not as good as the Hopkins fights.

He did an awful lot of clutching and grabbing and holding.

Not quite to the level of a Ruiz or even a Hatton, but not aesthetically pleasing.

On the other hand, his jab was accurate and stinging. And he put together some nice combinations. So all in all, he is a rising star at 168.

Not ready for Calzaghe yet, nor Kessler. Needs one or two lessers before going for top spot.

(This might sound silly, even redundant, but I'd like to see Pavlik-Taylor 3).

Regarding Lacy and what he portends for Calzaghe's legacy, one must remember that in addition to the brutal, psyche-destroying beating he got in Wales, he wrecked his LEFT shoulder since that and still has the scars (both physical and psyshological) from the repairs.

And when your monicker is LEFT hook Lacy, and you can't use your left hook like you once did, pre-Calzaghe and post-Tstpko comparisons must be adjusted for the obvious.

I honestly think he did a great job even though he hasn't fought since he lost against Pavlik. He used his speed, jab and put together combination very well. His defense was good but honestly i thought the lacy knock him down but its the ref call.Taylor took his time with his shots and not go all crazy like when he had Pavlik hurt, but I would hope Taylor would of stop Lacy but UD is fine in mine books. Overall i give Taylor a B+ performance !!! Good work and keep it up.Where does Lacy goes from here? Honestly this was his last big money fight but he should fight some lesser opponents to build his confidence back up but I think right now he needs get some rest and decided if he wants to continue to fight.

He didn't show anything different then from what we have seen before. Im a Lacy fan but it was obvious that he is not the same fighter, I don't know if his shot metally, but he just doesnt have a complete arsenal, his left hand is probably gone for good. Back to Taylor, I would pick Kessler over him if they ever fight.

Good boxer, however everyone at 168 is much bigger then lacy, so the fighting style will be different. Good defense and jab, but he needs to let his hands go more(calzaghe).

He looked very good...a lot more mature than his performance against Wink and Pavlik.

Instead of standing and trading off of the ropes, he decided to tie his man up and discourage his opponent.

:think I dont think there is another fighter there that is as physically strong and has stamina. Lacy, for all of his bulky uselessness has high energy and stamina through 12.

Taylor looked bad to me but i believe he took too much time off so if he wants he can get back in the picture and dominate(but not if he shows up like he did against lacy though!!!)

Taylor was tired before the 5th round so people stop acting like it was such a huge part of his game plan to hug(he was just tired). He had the worst stamina i ever seen him have and i really watched all his earlier fights. I do understand the layoff is what really hurt him so i look forward to seeing him back in top shape putting on somemore bigfights

Last two fights he seems to have rediscovered his boxing.
I always thought that suited him more than the attempted 'destroyer' image. Not to say he can't hit well but he's better off setting it up.

If Taylor gets focused in training & increases his stamina, he's gonna have unlimited potential.

    I have my concerns.

As a bonafide fan of his, I am worrying about his stamina problems, and the way he backs in a straight line.

But what he did good was he kept his composure throughout and never looked uncomfortable, he should've stayed busier though.

I think Taylor looked good actually better than I expected. He fought a smart fight tieing up Lacy in the later rounds was brilliant guys like Cotto could learn a thing or two from Taylor regarding this. His jab was on point and his combo punching was great as well. He'll give anyone at 168 hell and is right back in the mix.

The missing was mostly Lacy falling in. Taylor is not a fighter that hold a lot.
