Was Bute's perfomance really that good considering?

The only sort of valid point here is the sparring one. But that works both ways anyway so its probably irrelevant. What it did tell us however is that Johnson had absolutely no chance, because Bute's people saw that sparring. They wouldn't have put him in with Johnson if he was being troubled because there wasn't that much upside to winning this fight.

The rest is mostly just excuses I'm afraid, Bute's performance was simply better.

 

Point 4 is my favourite.

Essentially you're a Froch fan who rates Froch's win against Johnson but doesn't rate Bute's anywhere near as highly because he's seen as a threat.

Bute > Pacquiao. And he'd beat him head to head too! Especially if it was at the Bell Centre, Montreal, Quebec, Canada with Marlon Wright as referee.
