To be fair to Clenelo, and to be fair to myself I'm loathe to do so, I'm not sure he was juicing back then or if so not as hard core as he was when he started dining down at the Clebuterol Cafe and his physique transformed him into a ginger Incredible Hulk aka Hulknelo. I know for a fact that Floyd would never have dabbled with PEDs in a million years and that he was shot to bits by that times so that makes his schooling of the much bigger, stronger and harder hitting Clenelo that much more impressive and humiliating.
Well brainiac, feints are a way to achieve ring generalship. If you feint effectivtely and get your opponent to flinch, it can create openings to land punches. Generally scoring a round comes down to who lands the better punches. But feinting certainly can influence a judge especially in a close round. As you know judging a match is very subjective and anything that occurs inside the squared circle can theoretically affect who wins a round.
The phrase is "RING GENERALSHIP", not "BODY LANGUAGE GENERALSHIP". If you flinch and don't move your feet correspondingly, your opponent has done nothing to establish generalship in the scoring criterion sense.
I hope, should I ever ask you to score a fight for me, here.... https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...s-y-you-need-to-score-this-fight-asap.643931/ ... you will factor in blinks and flinches; or flinkshes as they are called by professional boxing judges. Their impact should not to be underestimated. It's a little known fact Kell Brook quit his fight with Spence, not because of the eye injury itself, but because he knew how many times he was going to blink in the subsequent rounds....
LOL @ Body Language Generalship never heard that one before. Surely you wouldn't deny that Canelo did indeed feint Floyd out of his mind a record number of times. Now granted Canelo didn't exactly follow up those feints with that many punches, but the feints demonstrably did occur. And whether or not you believe tha feints by themselves can influence scoring, surely you wouldn't disagree with the notion that being feinted out of your mind would significantly reduce your ability to issue a schooling.
He probably made Floyd react to more feints than anyone had in a long time, yes, that much I will concede. Probably in a near-decade since Corley..
