Paulie impressed me the most because he dusted off his A game and came with it. He exposed a blueprint that could be used on Broner but it wasn't in his power to capitalize on it. Hopefully Broner's team will patch those leaks. Broner didn't dominate totally but there were several times when he had Paulie wishing he was somewhere else. Paulie had that faraway look in his eyes like Beam me up Scottie.
I was impressed for the fact that he barley moved up to 135 and now he jump two weight classed to fight for a world title and won. I don't think he carries that weight that good but it still was an impressive win. I wouldn't call him overrated since he has won 3 titles in 3 different weight classes and he only 23 but I do think he should go down to 140 and see what he can do since there's a lot of fights he can make down there. I know a lot people don't like his antics but hey it's called marketing and he's putting himself in a good position for better fights and paydays. I don't see nothing wrong with that since Floyd did the same thing and the guy is getting paid 30+ millions a fight. No bad for being an ******* !!!!
I thought he did great! Now......he didn't dominate and he was in a very close fight, but it was a stylistic match up foreign to Broner and he jumped up 2 divisions. I was impressed. .......partly due to the fact I was never expecting Adrien to score an easy win against Paulie like a lot of other posters were.
I thought he did well and he won quite comfortably, especially considering the fact he just jumped two weight classes. He still has some way to go to become a superstar, but he's not that bad at all. Broner has some awesome skills and shitload of time to develop them further.
His stamina is very very poor..the reason he only threw about 30 punches per round. He has speed and power is very over rated...he didnt catch paulie clean all that often and when he did he couldnt KO him, drop him, or even hurt him. his shell defense was pounded on by paulie...but he has the worst feather fists ive ever seen maybe so it was useless.
I agree with everything you said aside from this. I remember Broner catching Paulie pretty often in the second half of the fight, but they didn't seem to phase him much. Broner also fought a lil dirty with the MMA knee and the punch on the break. If only Paulie had at least average power... Broner goes down to 140 and I think he does pretty well until he meets THE MACHINE.
5 of the first 6 rounds, round 12 was paulies and there was another one inbetween which i seem to forget which number it was Will have to rewatch the fight again but i scored it for Paulie easily, Broner did nothing in that fight apart from the rare occasion where he threw a punch or two if he was really going for it then just nodded and then wash rinse repeat Points should have been deducted also for the kick in the balls and the deliberate elbow to the face, not to mention the repetitive talking Every time Broner landed something or even threw a punch and missed the "hometown" crowd that Al Haymon reserved the floor seats for were shouting woooooooo every time . . . . . seriously it was almost annoying as Broners annoying "rapper" friend or his obese diabetic father who i couldnt tell was wooing every time Broners name or stats were read out or whether it was just air escaping from the folds of his man tits that he used to breast feed Broner Twinky cream from

his next fight should tell us a lot more than this fight....i thought he did good though. I want to see him in there with someone who packs a punch he cant just stand there and let tee-off on him forcing to use movement and focus. I think he had no worries of PM at all. Hopefuly he learned he cant leave things up to judges or it will bite him in the ass...he should not have let a SD happen with PM....be it justified or not....he had the skill to make it more definitive. Young fighter...it will come with time.
Hat off to Malignaggi. He was a world champion without a punch. You have to love the sport indeed to get to that level when you simply can't discourage people from marching straight through your shots to land their own. You're almost in the wrong sport, but Malignaggi has got to the top anyway. As for the fight, Broner won by a few rounds but looked like he was missing a change up in pace. There wasn't a point where he applied consistent pressure and tried to setup the finish. I think it was in him as he was clearly untroubled, but he didn't go for it. Must have been one of those nights.
It's not only for being an *******, you gotta have the goods first. Even then who knows how far Floyd would have gotten without DLH.
Tell me which rounds! Not just saying five of the first six. And broner won that last round. He lander more shots, not to mention harder ones. So when you re-watch the fight give the the rounds, not just the general 5 of the first 6. I had broner wining rounds 5 through 12 and i believe rounds 3 and 5 were close.
