if this is accurate then JMM overpriced himself 2x. ONE fight with PAC! the other ONE with Morales!!! Defenitely we will HEAR silence from JMM fans on this one!!!! He believed or OVERPRICED himself too much that is why he was DUMPED by the promoters!!!! But he was willing to fight Chris john for a measly 30k or 70k! :rofl Stupid handlers indeed!!!! If you over priced yourself once! It ok's it happens. You learn from it. But if you OVER PRICED yourself 2x!atsch It's no longer a mistake it's clearly STUPIDITY :good
Some of you have no idea what you're talking about and are simply repeating things you've heard(probably here at ESB). First off, I agree, JMM should have taken Pac/Arum's unfair offer(but that's only retrospect):deal JMM DID NOT turn down that fight to fight Chris Johnatsch The John fight happened a couple of years after PAC/JMM 1 and only took place because he had no choice since Arum had in effect frozen him out of the big fights! HAMED did indeed DUCK JMM, it's documented. JMM was Hamed's mandatory for about 2 1/2 years and Hamed even flew to the sanctioning bodie's meeting to request permission to fight someone other than JMM. Look it up!
And so is the refusal to make a counter offer and accept another fight for more money! This knife cuts both ways:hi:
Hmmm Casa, wasn't he that guy that go a real gift against Santa Cruz and never gave him the rematch , and also the guy who refused to fight Campbell:think
I think most in this forum remember the meltdown that Bob Arum had at the JMM-Pac rematch postfight press conference...... ......there is reason for that meltdown, and the fact that JMM and his team were pointing out during that press conference about the ill's of bad decisions in boxing, was only the straw that broke the camels back that really led to Arum's shameless meltdown. .......the real problem that Arum has had with the JMM team all along, is that the JMM team was never your typical Latino team that nievely took whatever the promoter said..... .....thats what so bugs Bob Arum about Nacho Beristein and the whole JMM team, and it was the reason for his meltdown. When Arum came to them with an offer, they wanted to know why the numbers were where they were at, and given a financial breakdown of the offer. Arum is just not used to doing such against most of his fighters, that are not at the elite level as draws....... So in essence, when Beristein would question the numbers, it bothered Arum so much that he'd figuratively would tell them to **** off and accept what was handed to them or not at all. Excuse the JMM team for being smart enough to want an explanation and a drawout of the financial numbers adding up! Just knowing that Arum was involved, there is no question in my mind who was at fault for JMM not getting big fights after he came off the canvas three times to completely school Manny Pacquiao!
school is such a vague word... specially when jmm kissed the canvass 4 times and held on the rope for dear life. stop crying man. :| This content is protected it is already in the record book and pac got the belt. and everybody knows that jmm ducked pac for a rematch and opted for a malaria in the jungles of indonesia and got whooped by chris john.
wanting $3.5 million dollars to fight morales is a counter offer? jmm duck morales...morales had that aura of invincibility before his fights with pac and only mab comes close to morales so i can see the reason why jmm wouldn't fight my boy morales for 7 figures:yep
That people are nieve enough to believe that JMM actually turned down a reasonable offer to fight Morales, actually never seems to amaze me in this forum full of people that just really dont want to be educated. When you really analyze the whole events that occured back during after the first JMM-Pac fight, you've got to be pretty ignorant to think that Morales would prefer to even think about fighting JMM after what he just saw JMM do to Pac after hitting the canvas three times in the first round. You've got to be full of **** up to your eyeballs to think that Arum would even match JMM against his cash cow, knowing that there was a better stylistic matchup for Morales in Pac, and a fighter that Morales would be pumped to fight, knowing that it was the fighter that owned his nemesis in MAB. When the negotiations were actually happening, there was media coverage that JMM was'nt happy with just getting a 100k raise to fight Pac again......but that the Morales fight was offered to JMM was never disclosed from anybody until the Pac-Morales fight was well and signed. Its elementary to anybody that knows how Arum operates. He never intended from the get go to even have a JMM-Pac rematch, much less a JMM-Morales fight. Anybody with any sense as to how promotes use fighters against eachother at the bargaining table, know that JMM was used as a tool, to actually get the Morales-Pac fight to the lowest possible financial numbers so that it would benefit the promoters. .....all I hear in forums like these is *******s laying the blame solely on JMM and his team, when in fact, if you have any sense, you know that Promoters make the fights that benefit themselves. Morales vs Pac made more financial sense for Arum's pockets. It gave Arum's cash cow an opportunity to go one up and do something Morales' nemisis MAB could'nt do after he had lost the trilogy to MAB...... its really that simple as why that fight was made instead of the JMM-Pac rematch. Notice the convenience of how Arum operates......Morales and Pac fought three times, one fight after the other......but JMM is just too good for Arum to put his cash cow in against and risk losing to him really to alot of people, three times in a row too!:yep Recently, Arum scowled at the notion that JMM was moving up to 135 lbs....he said, "if he thinks that moving to 135 lbs is going to get him a fight with Manny, its not going to work, he's got another thing coming." .....I have yet to see the *******s complain about Arum's sentiments!
No when you become a superstar and you reach a certain level, you can't really afford to fight guys with a lesser name that yours ... you're looking to fight guys with bigger names and who can generate money. You don't bother with madatories --
gibberish talk...truth is he was offered to fight morales but he didn't. If it wasn't true then jmm camp could file a case to those article floating around on the net and even the papers that they were all lies.:rofl :rofl And its funny you think i'm a ******* while i only support the idea of morales, in fact morales is my favorite fighter not pac. And you sound like jmm is a nightmare for morales. Pulleaaase...old and past prime MAB deck him, and made it a close fight with jmm. The version of morales before facing pac would have won against jmm by UD. JMM doesn't want no part of morales, even if pac-morales made sense because morales would have an easier time with pac. Look at morales at that time, where did his loses came from? And to be honest morales should have won that trilogy with MAB. Morales had that aura of invincivility and had duck no one throughout his whole career. And yeah, prime morales wins against a prime JMM..:hi:
1. morales is no pacquiao, he doesn't school morales like he did to pac 2. morales has took on the best througout his entire career, he doesn't think twice or cherry pick. Look at his resume, clearly better 3. like i said morales have been taking on the best in his career.. to think that he is ducking jmm is crazy. He took on pac and mab thrice went to war with them, and you think he'll be afraid of JMM:nut what is jmm some sort of God-like boxer? If any morales should be the one to be feared. Look at his record prior to facing pac 48-2, jmm should be the one scared by that time
