He was only 5'10, some say 5'9 and weighed 220lbs with little fat. That is huge. He had a body mass index of 31.6 compared to 28.3 for Wlad and 28.9 for Joshua.
he was a massive guy from the age of 13. some people just are massive, freaks. BMI is a terrible proof to be trying to use.
He was a freak from his early teens. Later on in his career when he just boxed for money there is a good chance he took stuff through speculating. In his prime I believe he was legit though.
I can't say I'd be suprised, but then again if you saw what he looked like at 13 he was just about as big as when he was grown so it' also very possible he's just a freak, or cus gave him roids. Mike has opened up about alot throughout the years, even doing cocaine before fights, I'd half way expect him to come clean about it if he did.
You are talking nonsenses tyson at 13 was a fat boy he was not "as big" as he was when he was fully developed. It is a stupid myth not truth at all. At 16 he weighed 190 pounds at 17 200 pounds.
Damn your still not over your little b:tch fit? He was a fat kid, but he was also incredibly muscular for his age so it' not far fetched that wasnt taking steroids, try googling mike Tyson age 13
Tyson was about 190 pounds and solid aged 13.....I saw a pic of him in his autobiography when he was that age and you'd thought he had a 13 year old son.....he looked 33. Some people, like Tyson just develop early. Meanwhile, Holyfield at 14 was told he was too small to play on his high schools football team as he weighed about 120 pounds. By the time Holyfield became cruiser weight champ, he was weighing at 25 what Tyson weighed at 13. So it's not out of the real of possibility that Tyson by age 20-21 could be a solid 215-220 pounds.
The common BMI is suitable, it shows essentials and everyone understands what it means. Like alot of attributes among the human physiology, certain extreme values accur under the probability of normal distribution. Extraordinary BMIs for example are > 30 with low fat and no weight lifting. Remember, BMI > 30 indicates obesity! Tyson, Quawi, Ibeabuchi and Tua come to mind here. Keep in mind some of them did calisthenics, which is not that far away from weight lifting, if your bodys is just that heavy. You normal guys had to do dips with like + 40 pounds or so, same goes for pull ups, less for push ups and squats. So there might be some "weight lifting" involved. Anyway, these were most of the rare cases of extreme endomorphics. The other extreme is for example Thomas Hearns. Endomorphic physiology goes hand in hand with big wrists, forearm and legs (thigh, calf and ankle to handle that mass), which are often associated with punching power. Add a fast twitch muscle predisposition and general quickness + mobility and you have a Tyson. Ibeabuchi and Tua for example were alot more ponderous with a body mass like that. In other words: The chance to get together all tysonite attributes is very very low, especially for a heavyweight, since endomorphs tend to be short. Ibeabuchi beeing 6,2 with these genes might be incredibly rare too. Didn´t roids tend to cause a deep voice? Some said Tysons high voice came from roid abuse, dunno.....
