Vitali was ahead. He was landing the jab through Solis's guard, you can even see it snap his head back. He also landed a power shot to Solis's gut or head for every shot that Solis landed on him. I think people were so amazed to see Solis being remotely competitive that they are convincing themselves that he was ahead. You don't have all of your best shots returned to you, then also get jabbed all round, and win that round.
I think you got it mixed up. Vitali is a big white man, Rigondeaux is a small black dude. You were watching Rigo - Casey, not Vitali - Fat *******.
What's matter who was winning the round? Solis was doing good until d punch, it is not clear if he did get hurt or he lost his footing, the fact of the matter is that he lost in a disgraceful way, get in shape or get the f**k out of boxing.
This reminds me of when Martinez was clearly beating Williams before knocking him out in the 2nd round and a load of chumps came in claiming he was down on the scorecards when it happened. 1) Vitali clearly won the round 2) It doesn't ****ing matter!
At this moment I'm not sure who was winning the round, but I do think Solis was doing better than most of Vitali's opponents and I think if he was just more athletic(fatass) and had more speed and power, he could have done better, but the round wasn't clearly for one person. Now remember this is the first round and most first rounds are just a feeling out period. Also Solis would have got knocked out eventually anyways
Whoa!! :admin Just playin', but Dustaine.. why even argue this ****.. he lost the round by getting KD no matter what.. it was a close round, but I thought VK won it.. up until the KD punch neither guy landed anything notable. Besides, the best time to score a fight is live, that's how the judges have to do it. Knowing who wins, and how, and what the punch stats are, all that **** biases you even more than you'd think. Watching the fighter over again doesn't mean anything, because you score fights live, and always will.
Solis was landing almost nothing, backing up and clearly not being the aggressor. Vitali was winning the fight before the brutal KO of glass head.
Did we really need to make a thread about it....? Solis went down before the fight was stopped. No was he was winning.
You're too ****in' generous, Lunny. Fact is, Sollis was so far ahead after two minutes that the fight should have been STOPPED. Bum Referee and a Shameful robbery ! :fire:fire:fire:fire:fire
