Was Uzcategui hitting Dirrell after the bell intentional/flagrant? What is after the bell protocol?

When he asked Dirrell if he was ok Dirrell DID nod his head and seemed to try to get ready to go, and only when the ref brought the doctor over did he roll back down. I don't want to bash Dirrell, but that was closer to the reaction of a fighter uncomfortable from a low blow than concussed from a head shot. So if we assume the ref correctly called it accidental yeah I agree Dirrell should've had 5 minutes to go, then fight on. In the other cases I mentioned the hit boxer clearly couldn't continue, but this case is also different in that it's not clear whether Dirrell was ok or not.

I saw it, but I don't know it was a DQ.
The shot before the bell already hurt Dirrell and his hands were up and it did not look intentional.

The second punch was after the bell, but it wasn't that hard, and clearly wasn't intentional. Giving Direll 5 minutes to recover + the break time would be a perfect decision.

I dont think it was intentional, takes a split second to eye up a potential combo, takes a split second to register the sound of the bell and he was already in the act and motion of throwing that combo.

The last two punches he threw landed after the bell.

I'd say only the hook was clearly after the bell. The straight right was being thrown when the bell sounded. The two shots together occurred in no more than a second so there isn't much time for conscious decision making at any rate.

The worst part is Jose was cruising to a KTFO of Dirrell, or a corrupt SD/MD either way.

Too bad this event occurred. Robbed the boxing world of being rid of this phony as a contendor

Dirrell yet again looking for a way out.

    And his coach is spineless.

    A stain on the sport

That ref is on Haymon's payroll, he asked Andre if he was ok and he nods, then Anthony yells lay down, he does, ref walks over and tells him he will DQ Uzcategui.

I think Dirrel should be disqualified because a member of his team sucker punched his opponent.

It was unintentional because he was in the middle of a combo but the final punch was after the bell

It looked like dirrel was stunned before the bell too

I think the ref had it with Uz because he already warned him for hitting after the bell and he told them the round was about to end before the punch. It's hard to call it accidental after already being warned.

It was illegal but not intentional. Just trying to get that combination in before the bell and couldn't do it. That last hit that put him down was clearly after the bell. Since Dirrell was hurt too much, ref didn't allow it to continue. Dude was also clearly warned at least twice.

Gassiev/Thomas was the same thing basically.
