Was Vitali pissed at the ref?

Peter and his promoter were talkin **** the whole time.

The ref thing-I'd be pissed as hell if I was in his position..Gomez lead with his head the whole time.

I don't think it was intentional. Just b/c he is a southpaw.

Vitali was winnin the fight and it gets called off. I woulda been pissed too, I do think the fight should've been stopped b/c it was a bad cut. It was a cut tho, ANYONE CAN GET LUCKY WITH A PUNCH THAT GRAZES THE FACE.

 

They talked **** before, there's a difference. Many fighters talk **** before to sell a fight, to play mind-games, he didn't really talk that much **** all he said was he gonna knock him out.

He can be pissed and have a word, but ref's make mistakes, they are only human like the rest of us, doesn't give Vitali the right to push him around. It's the same deal with football over here and why we are losing refs, who's going to want to be a boxing referee is a 6'7" 245 pound fighter pushes you around just for deducting a point in a fight he eventually won.

He was winning on the scorecards but it was a bad, bad cut and he was tiring, Lewis didn't get lucky he landed on him consistently for the opening rounds, with powerful and accurate punches and cut him open, he then worked the cut and it looked truly awful.

 

F*ck the refs.

I dunno how it is over there, but in sports over here; they wanna act all tough.

They mess stuff up all the time. They need to get trained better.

That ref made a huge mistake although it was really a moot point a minute later.

 

He was probably pissed about the point deduction, but it doesnt mean he should confront the ref like that after the fight. Maybe he just let his emotions get the better of him, I hope so cause I always saw the Klitschko brothers as classy fighters.

from the WBC website: Unintentional head butt. When a boxer is cut due to an unintentional head butt, as per the discretion of the referee, the uncut boxer will receive a one-(1) point deduction. This rule does not apply in the USA.

 

Horrible call by the ref for 1 point deduction.

you are reading the rule wrong. What is at the discretion of the ref is wether or not the headbutt was accidental, not the point deduction that comes after.

 

If vitali did push him out of anger (which i doubt) he should get fined, an suspended,,I like vitali, but rules are there for a reason, an one of the good things about the bros., is they appear to be law abiders, like the average tax payer, they respect the working man, an the ref for a good or bad call,is just a working man, vitali made millions for that fight, were ref life time won't be that......But i felt the point deduction was bull****

 

If it wasn't for the head-butt, Gomez would have not been TKO.
